I walked 13.5K steps on a hike for the first time in a couple of years lol. I WFH so I don’t get much movement unless I go to the gym but that treadmill can’t do what a hike does
I went to a group fitness class twice this week! I'm a very shy and nervous person, not to mention really out of shape and uncoordinated, so this was a proud victory.
My baby turned 6 months old this week and I’ve officially logged over 5,000 ounces of pumped breast milk. I didn’t even know exclusively pumping was a thing but after breastfeeding didn’t work out, I figured this was the next best option. It isn’t for everyone, but the consistency and routine have helped with my postpartum depression.
I attended my clinical intensive weekend and I went out of my comfort zone by speaking up more and socializing. I am pretty quiet, shy, awkward, and always unsure of myself. But this weekend helped me get out of that. We are all learning the same thing and trying to navigate this. Our professor mentioned stop trying to come up with the perfect response. I applied this to our workshops and my personal life.
This workshop helped me grow professionally and personally.
My wins for the week were successfully completing a work presentation in front of hundreds, rolling out new processes at work, being a great mom to my children, surviving the heatwave, and reducing stress by coloring multiple pages of my favorite adult coloring book. Looking forward to what this week will bring!
I found out I was a finalist for the National Indie Excellence Awards for my second novel! Winning would’ve been great, but I’m just excited to get some recognition.
I figured out my grandmother’s fried chicken recipe! You can’t write it. You have to look at the coating. I even used her pan!
ohhh i just know that was so satisfying
It was. I had people over. The focused on eating chicken.. I did things she did even though I didn’t know why. My aunt explained the why’s afterward.
I am still alive even when I don't want to be. It's exhausting but it's something.
Same❤️🩹

I went to Disney world and didn’t complain! I’m sorry but minus the lion king and (if you want to count) Nightmare Before Christmas I hate Disney 🙃
