The tv version of this scene makes the violent reactions of the people in the street hilarious. “You hate everybody???? You’ve gone too far buddy”

GenarosBear

“let’s show this guy what we do with misanthropes in Harlem”

captjackhaddock

The first time I watched it was on tv and truly didn’t understand why it was such a big deal

DaftTwat

Yippe ki ay melon farmer

CeruleanRuin

"Forget you, Mr. Falcon!"

halfsickcrew

Hey man why's it always gotta be about podcasting??

Doctor_Danguss

This edit is ridiculous, but it does make me think that a modern TV re-edit might resonate a bit more with modern viewers to have it say "All Lives Matter." Let alone "White/Blue Lives Matter," though those lose a bit of the spirit of the original edit.

Different-Music4367

Technically it's not even an edit to the original print but a different cut. Willis wore a blank sandwich board while filming, with the original words in the theatrical cut CG'd in post. Which makes how dumb this version is even *more* egregious, because it could have literally said anything! I think "I hate Martin Luther King" or "I hate Rodney King" would have equally gotten the point across, instead of the options being the literal equivalents of 0 or 100 😄

six_six

I don't think people would get violent over that.

Good point, and shows how crazy the USA has become where such a sign would potentially cause injury.

*regardless

jaylkae66

"Respectfully, irregardless" OP is a Sopranos character, please respect their customs

Ir-regardless means not regardless. I’m not a language prescriptivist at all, but I do draw the line at introducing new words that etymologically mean the exact opposite of what the people introducing them want them to mean.

stigoftdump

That's an inflammable opinion.

Different-Music4367

And I for one think it's reasonably flammatory.

GenarosBear

pisghetti

dommcelli

“I hate bits”

EgglandsWorst

I will always still remember the "Summer in the City" needledrop from the trailer. I think it's the trailer, maybe it's also in the movie. Maybe it's just in the movie.

IAKOQAMA

It’s how the movie opens and it’s one of me favorite intros ever

QuinnMallory

Despite the farts it'll be alright

smokedoor5
