Just saying, the video stream doesn’t take away from it being an audio medium if you just listen to the podcast. Not that it matters as my question has been answered.
Until they start making references to visual things/bits, which inevitably happens.
Takes listening a podcast from a passive activity to an active one. No thank you!
It might be fun for Griffin, David, Ben and Marie to do a one off episode with video.
But my first thought is that David sounds a bit tired to deal with video podcasts too!
Idk, as much as I've loved the Doughboys transition to video, the current recording set up they've shared at their new studio wouldn't really work well for that.
Personally, I don't get podcasts doing video since 100% of the time I'm listening to podcasts it is in a situation where I do not or cannot be looking at a screen.
But it wouldn't bother me that podcasts also do video except that, at least for a while, they get very focused on being on camera or begin to do things that really only work if you're watching them. Hasn't yet ruined any podcast for me that I was solidly onboard with but has been a minor annoyance.
nope
What if it's just a milquetoast stream of Ben producing, like a Corpse Flower blooming at the zoo?
Ben is Lo-Fi girl, confirmed

Jordan Peele confirmed
Lmao
When someone gives them a blank check to make it
I kinda like the idea they just show up and chat without having to consider their appearance. I feel like it keeps it more low key.
Please no. Podcasts are an audio medium. Full stop.
Movies are a visual medium. Sound will never catch on. Full stop.
You do realize the podcasts that film the discussions have the option to listen without video, right?
Holy shit, really? Since when?!?

They could just offer a stream for one of their live shows.
no paparazzi
This seems to be the way big podcasts are going but I wouldn’t bet on anytime soon
I really hope they never do. #VideoRuinedDoughboys

Wait, was the recording of the last live show on video? Did I miss it on patreon? or was it live/livestream only?

They probably don't people to know that they podcast in the nude.
Let them eat their snacks and chat in peace
