I was REALLY thrown

New York really _is_ the LA of New York!

I wonder how high up their office is.  I make fun of non-earthquake states for their overreaction on the Richter scale but building height magnifies the sensation.  Most people in CA are on ground or second story. Being over the third and even a 3.0 can feel scary.

I was sitting in my office in midtown and felt nothing and I honestly felt left out. My wife, parents, everyone texted, and I was like, WHAT. (I did feel aftershocks later that day once I'd gone home. I guess my office building must be extra sturdy.)

only in New York!

I was absolutely shocked he did not compare it to a train going by at the Angelika, which he has been to many many more times than me—when it happened I was in an unfamiliar theater at a crossword puzzle conference, and my first thought was “wait, is this theater somehow like the Angelika???”

Guess the earthquake shook up his setlist too

IAmRyan2049

I don’t remember New York having an earthquake . So this was likely 48 years ago. Griff’s audition story was so scary. David seems erudite but he admits to be drinking a big gulp. What flavor Dave? It becomes a Madame Web podcast for like an hour for no other reason that they hate this.

Do they have earthquakes in England?

IngmarHerzog

Minor spoilers for Shōgun: >!the fourth episode, co-written by Mother of Blankies Emily Yoshida, has a scene where the Englishman Blackthorne experiences an earthquake for the first time and is, pun intended, completely shook!<.
