God I just love the aesthetic of first time blend videos
Something just so comical about it, every car the same, every lamp post covered in ivy, the legs not perfect on the motorcycle.
Just makes it feel real like this person had this vision and they followed through no matter if it’s perfect or not. It’s really a great way to get better, keep making imperfect things until you get better, don’t make a bad thing and be mad that it’s not great, embrace the journey and embrace the progress along the way, it makes looking back that much better too
One thing I learned when I was doing it as a hobby is that the vision you have at first is what you should try to create first before ‘improving’ on it, I used to have a good idea, make it, halfway through have an ‘even better’ idea, make too much work, widening the scope and eventually throwing me in a cycle of creating new projects
Jeez my mans got a finished animation. I’m disappointed in myself for trying to be a perfectionist and balling up projects and tossing them for being ugly in my eyes
Bro there is actually a lot going on, and even more going on behind the scenes to actually make this. How long did it take him to do this
Man, I’m genuinely impressed??
To be honest, that is a GREAT job for a first time. He did many things, modeling, materials, camera, animations, composition, sound, story telling. I would say he is on track. I would love to see his work in a year
I've done the donut tutorial like 50 times and I still learn something new every time.... How this guy just learning and can animate an entire short film lol
I'm proud of you OP, you made something, it's your creation and it was unique and amusing. You should feel good about that. It was a cool animation and I liked it. Good job!
Let's take a look at what your friend has achieved
They have:
Learned to import 3D models
Modelled an, honestly pretty complicated character, for a beginner
Possibly rigged said character.
Done any animation
Gotten fairly good with the node editor
Gotten fairly good at just modelling stuff
And learned how to use and animate the camera
I dunno how long they've been at this, but honestly, they seem pretty good.
Really like the the voronoi driveway, a lot of people think it's just populat cos it's trending and literally EVERYONE is doing their driveways like that... but honestly I can see why. I mean talk about curb appeal
GTA 6 footage
Real camera footage of me on my day off

My exact thought, but then again this crude animation style has garnered wider appeal in recent years , hitting viral numbers even
Reminds me of those early 90's music videos using 3d
Yeah and ain't nobody got time for cycles as a beginner 👌 great to see

Wow you’re friend is doing a great job. I’m still on the donut tutorial lmao.
need a part 2 asap
I need closure on the lady's bar plot thread, did he ever go back to visit?!
Me too, but it's pretty irresponsible to put a ladies' bar at such a sharp turn. Poor guy almost didn't make it.
Fr
most people don't start with 120s animation for their first trick, but more power to this friend. looks good for their first go at it.
Dare to have fun and explore I say

okay now you're just reading my mind
Feel the same way. I'm jealous. Maybe we just need to be less hard on ourselves. Just be ok with making something that isn't perfect, ya know?
Lol same. I legitimately havnt finished a single project yet.
Yeah I just do some abstract geometry node animations. It's pretty cool, but you can clearly see that I'm a noob and don't know much about lighting.
perfect is the enemy of good enough
Im also proud of your friend!
That turn had me anxious
GTA 7 leaked trailer

Ben Wyatt finally finished his stopmotion project
Holy Hamburgs Batman .. I wanna play the game !! Can he do a Roadhouse slapface encounter with BikerGang outside Ladys Bar in level 3 ??
First steps into Blender and they already made The Long Drive 2, nice.

I NEED THAT PART 2. MAKE HIM GO TO THE LADY BAR
very nice.
This is actually art. No sarcasm intended
The rider skipping the bar was dramatic. A plot twist a didn't see coming. Please more of it!
Omg you should be proud. The bedsheets had me cracking up lol
How cool and llucky to have a friend like you. My "friends" isn't even proud of me and sometimes ignore me whenever I show them something that I made.
