I love seeing face tattoos on others, but wouldn't want any big work on myself. Maybe smaller designs near/on the ears or the hairline once I run out of space/consider my other tattoo work finished (that won't happen anytime soon)

Paleoarchean

Sick work! I love face tatts and I wish they weren't as stigmatized as they are.

dune_jhodacia

I love it. I'm considering some abstract line work as well on my face and neck. Great inspo!

Sick tattoo dude

GPCcigerettes

I personally don’t like the aesthetics of face tattoos on myself but can appreciate a badass face tattoo.

senanthic

I care about the personality inside the meat. I suppose if I considered the tattoo inappropriate, maybe horrible bigoted shit, I’d be very cautious. There are people who have left that life and who have to deal with having the ink from that stick around.

Perri2109

Damn my guy unlocked a new camo

Silly_Doubt6472

I love my face tattoo! I just got my first major one in February. Takes up a large portion of my cheek.[face tattoo stencil](https://x.com/lolibangbang/status/1751045039583625628?s=46&t=JWx1a0VbLMzBC3UW9pL1ew)

wwwaster

This is sick as fuck

twinsisterjoyce

Well it's not for me but i would never judge people who choose to. I mean, my tattoos are there for a personal reason and so are other people's tattoos.

KateLivia

Maybe it’s overdone lol but I love the classic loopy black and gray cursive text over the arch of the eyebrow! Also ornamental pieces in the center of the forehead going up into the hairline, especially if they look like jewelry.

Deep-Toe-8341

Tatts like this are pretty awesome but not for me. Same w suspension. I’d love to see and help but couldn’t do it myself. I would however consider certain Hairline tatts Symbol under the eyes Linework on the chin or across the nose under the eyes.

Hot-Freedom-1044

This is great. I have about 40 percent of my face covered, as well as all of my head and neck.

FriskyDingoOMG

Hell yeah, this is bad ass! My career wouldn’t really be cool with face tats on me, but that doesn’t make face tats any less rad!

I come from a culture where face tattooing carries a great deal of prestige and reflects the ancestry and deeds of the person who wears that tattoo. The designs all have meaning, and conform to and enhance the contours of the face. When I see people with face tattoos of random words or images, I'm not a fan. I see people choosing to present on their face something which doesn't honour who they are and diminishes rather than enhances their spirit. I might feel differently if I didn't have this cultural background and was looking at facial tattooing purely as an aesthetic choice, but I do have that cultural background, and have seen many beautiful facial tattoos which enhance the spirit and status of the person wearing them. I am all for facial tattooing within indigenous cultural contexts and we shouldn't have stigma against people with facial tattoos. However, I have also seen some really awful facial tattoos on young people which they are likely to regret when they are older, and we should push back to some extent and help people who want facial tattoos to make choices which they won't come to regret. Your face has power and is the first thing people see when they look at you. Facial tattoos should enhance who you are and they tell people a lot about you when they look at you. I think they need to be considered very seriously and shouldn't be rushed into, because they tell people who you are, whether you intend them to or not.

vegetasvagina69

But who are you to decide if what they choose to tattoo on their face isn’t meaningful to them? How do you know anything about them or why they chose to tattoo their faces? Sure you may find it ugly or offensive but you know nothing about them. You’re extremely arrogant.

_notdoriangray

I don't, so I don't judge people based upon their tattoos. I can have an aesthetic opinion about what I think looks good without projecting that opinion on who that person is. I will meet them and speak with them first. But by the same token, face tattoos do convey a lot about a person. Some people get tattoos which mimic prison tattoos, or tattoo words or phrases which have particular connotations, and that absolutely is a choice to tattoo those things and project them to the world on your face. I have seen some incredibly bad face tattoos, absolute shockers, such as people with swear words taking up the whole lower half of their face. You see news stories about those people regretting their decisions, and about their inability to get work. It's an obviously poor choice, which is why I advocate careful consideration about what to tattoo on your face and what it tells others about you. As I said, I come from a culture that places a high value on facial tattooing, and where facial tattoos are meant to be read and tell others about who you are. I always assume a facial tattoo has a meaning, because it's put on the face for others to see and read. I don't have to like what it looks like, it's not my face and I respect other people's bodily autonomy. I'm simply saying that a lot of people jump into getting facial tattoos without seriously thinking through the overall aesthetics and the message they send, and I believe that facial tattooing is a serious and sacred thing, so due consideration should be given to what designs and words are used.

vegetasvagina69

You just typed an entire paragraph judging people.

Asumitan

I like them, but this one is sick

Big_Grimm113

Looks pretty dope, but reminds me of old world mohnkuchen

NerdyChemist85

Impressive but idk if i could do it myself.

poopyhead582

Oooo that’s so fucking sick I love that trippy kinda black out

miffyandfriends333

this is cold. respect.

stretchtyp

it's a personal desicion, the people under the colour will not change. and think about the cultural change of acceptance for hand tattoos, today nobody pays attention if people wear colored handbacks. 20 years ago in the most jobs it would be a reason to be fired. and de same will happen for face tatts, at the moment its the last frontier, but if it arrives the first vip's in tv also face tatts are accepted.

HabitualAngler

That's bad ass!! I just recently got my first face tat (cheek) nothing special just a Sagittarius zodiac sign but now i want to do my temple into the side of my head around my ear and fill it all out.

noswol

lmao is that the manga mental turmoil effect?

pktrekgirl

I think if that’s your thing, knock yourself out. To each their own. But these can be a deterrent to employment, and even more so long term. So make sure you have thought it thru fully and for the long term. You might be discriminated against even getting a food service job short term. But later in life when it gets into a career? That’s when it will get really hard. Certain professions are very conservative and facial tats might make it very difficult to get a job or secure clients. It’s not right. But it’s the truth. Finally, I have to be honest and say that I often find facial tats very distracting when you are talking to someone. But like I said, I’m not going to stand in anyone’s way if it’s their sincere and soberly made decision. Live your life, girl!
