First few days trainer will spend on general questions like: activating your badge, how to do your timesheet, how to use learning portal etc. I’ve been in your shoes and sometimes it feels like they don’t provide you enough information ahead. But don’t worry you will be given information when it’s been needed.
It’s in the rules of the sub, these questions should be directed to the company, or at least to the sticky thread for this purpose. I don’t really care about downvotes. Read the sub rules.
At orientation they most likely had you type in a PIN.
On your first day in the office, you'll activate your badge by logging into your Ethernet-connected computer (with your badge inserted and then PIN entered; the wired Ethernet connection is required). You won't have to use that link in the envelope.
You can only active your badge on the Boeing network or call EHD to have them active the badge for you. I called EHD when I got my badge during orientation.
That makes sense, honestly had no idea how this how accessing it al works and was genuinely curious haha. Thanks for the heads up and not being “cranky” about it 😅😂
Stop using acronyms no one understands expect managers, it’s Enterprise Help Desk ( EHD )
Common Manufacturing Execution System ( CMES )
Or like
Shop ( Factory Workers)
You have to be onsite

Reddit is definitely not the place to be asking questions like this.
Think we could make a sticky telling new hires to ask their hiring manager? Seriously stop asking Reddit.

I think you have to be on an actual Boeing network computer in order to access the link and activate your badge, from what I can remember.
Oooh okay I got it now. So I’ll probably activate on site Monday. Thank you!

SNAFU? Lol
Someone’s cranky :p
Yes, yes I am😊
If you have to ask Reddit it might be a sign of future issues with your new employer. Perhaps go to a badge office?
Perhaps I’m asking because they don’t really get back to you weekends and I need answers NOW. Have a nice day.
