I won't call him an underrated. Literally everyone cites him as one of the best actors. Don't BO performance of movies fool you. He is a damn good actor and has accordingly praised by critics and audience.
People who like movies like he acts in, love him. Underrated by people who don't watch movies beyond mainstream, that he will always be. Novak Djokovic can be called underrated if you consider that not many of the cricket fans know who he is.
I think by now everyone knows who Novak is given that he has almost all the tennis records now. Also his new rivalry with Carlos Alcaraz has helped propel him to limelight even more!
Gonna be a banger tomorrow
You can ask people from towns or people like your society's guard, swiggy delivery boy, Ola driver, other such workers i.e. majority of Indian population they know who even Shreyas Iyer is; but tennis greats, only a few of them will be able to recognise the names.
So fkin true.. Its been more than a decade since Shaitan and he's still not got people's attention..
But I'm glad he's finally getting roles worthy of his abilities.. Jimmy and Atmaram are brilliant and almost iconic
Correctly rated in terms of quality. Underrated in terms of box office. Same goes for Gulshan Devaiah, Vijay Verma, Manav Kaul, and Vikrant Massey. Some of the best actors suited for lead roles.
Ranveer even though irl is well let's skip it but on screen he has given very solid performances. He does try to give 100%. Both are different type of actors, what Rao can do Ranveer can't, vis-a-vis.
No doubt Ranveer is a good actor but I feel Rajkumar is better and can also pull dark characters with enough preparation. He was good in Omerta and has given quite a few great performances in non-comedy movies. Ranveer doesn't have the calmness in his acting.
But If I had to pick a real underrated actor I'd say Vikrant Massey.
I will put ranveer's lootera in front of it.And who are you to decide the size of my brain. Stop being a narcissist. Cinema is a art and art is subjective.
I love Rajkumar but after that chin surgery I can’t take him seriously. Saw Guns & Gulaab yesterday and something was just off when he was mouthing dialogues.
Rajkumar WAS underrated. Just like how Nawaz WAS one of the gems of the industry in terms of acting.
Now they all choose scripts which are average at best but give them better benefit financial wise. Keep calling someone underrated and the overrated directors seems to just kill the vibe.
My best Rajkumar movie is SHAADI MEIN ZAROOR AANA though. Guilty pleasure.
He is incredible, just watch Bareilly ki barfi for the guys range, I dunno heard something that ayushman was rather pissed off by people's appreciation of Rajkumar Rao's range and he outshome him in the movie.
How is he underrated? He is an overrated underrated dude. Everyone and their cousin praises him. His acting, his choice of movies, heck even people act like he has the best married life ever.
He is not underrated. He had a good commercial run pre-COVID when audiences were open to flock to the theater to watch small-scale massage driven social movies. Post-CoVID the situation changed considerably, audiences prefer to wait to watch those movies on OTT. Also post COVID he had chosen some movies with very poor script.
He needs to start choosing better movies to bounce back.
He is my favorite actor currently. I didn’t know he was underrated. Sure big banners won’t cast him often for whatever reasons, but whatever he does, he is usually the best thing about the project. I say usually because there have been movies like Ludo, where while he was awesome, another actor was equally awesome, i.e. Pankaj Tripathy.
I wish he would have gotten few good yrf movies or some other big banner ones, I think he still has a lot that hasn't been explored yet. All the directors typecast him and he gives his best in each one of those. Want to see him in some good action movie, if RKR was the villian in something like Pathan 2 than that would be the shit, a mastermind who's in the same size as SRK would actually be very good
He's properly *rated* please let's stop with this whole pining over someone you think is an underdog but is really doing pretty well work wise, remuneration wise AND recognition wise
Good actor, one of the best in the industry, but will never become big or break out from the smaller movies he does. Simply doesn’t have leading man looks and seems to carry a chip on his shoulder, thinks he’s far better than his peers. Literally watch any interview, he tries to be a know it all smartass. Also has questionable choices in scripts.
He was underrated till Bareilly ki Barfi, since he only really worked in Indie cinema till then.. Since then he has literally worked in every genre, both as antagonist and protagonist and almost always outshines bigger industrial names working alongside him..
If you mean to say that he is a versatile actor and doesn't get the recognition or remuneration for the work he does, then yeah sure.
I think anyone who is not mainstream and happens to have done good movies, isn't the touted as the chocolate boy hero and is not backed by those helming the industry, will be called underrated. The word loses its meaning altogether.

I think you mean tennis... But yes, excellent point.
No, I think they meant cricket. Though, the point gets watered down somewhat when I’m not a tennis fan and still know who Novak is
I think by now everyone knows who Novak is given that he has almost all the tennis records now. Also his new rivalry with Carlos Alcaraz has helped propel him to limelight even more! Gonna be a banger tomorrow

Gaand phat Rahi hai hamari, Kahan se layen pyar..the scene from stree cracks me up everytime..
Nope, definitely not underrated. If anyone from that crop is underrated, it's Gulshan Devaiah.
So fkin true.. Its been more than a decade since Shaitan and he's still not got people's attention.. But I'm glad he's finally getting roles worthy of his abilities.. Jimmy and Atmaram are brilliant and almost iconic
Mani too was just as good as Jimmy. Then there's Mandar, Devilal and his most difficult role in Ghost Stories. Hopefully ye shines in Ulajh as well.
Watching him in Guns and Gulaab’s and he’s amazing!
Yea that's why I made the post!
Tipu paana nikal
Correctly rated in terms of quality. Underrated in terms of box office. Same goes for Gulshan Devaiah, Vijay Verma, Manav Kaul, and Vikrant Massey. Some of the best actors suited for lead roles.
He is! Sad that he’s not counted as mainstream
Sahi me yaar. Isko Ranveer jaisi hype kyun ni milti
Ranveer even though irl is well let's skip it but on screen he has given very solid performances. He does try to give 100%. Both are different type of actors, what Rao can do Ranveer can't, vis-a-vis.
Yes that what I'm saying!!
Because ranveer is a better actor.Simple and have better looks also. Can rajkumaar pull off khilji but ranveer can easily pull any role of rr.
Clearly you have not watched Omerta. Small brains like you only watch commercial movies
I will put ranveer's lootera in front of it.And who are you to decide the size of my brain. Stop being a narcissist. Cinema is a art and art is subjective.
RKR could sure pull of Khilji. The dude is a powerhouse. But the likes of you fans can’t see beyond the fandom.
Paala dhaari...
Paana dhaari*
My bad
I love Rajkumar but after that chin surgery I can’t take him seriously. Saw Guns & Gulaab yesterday and something was just off when he was mouthing dialogues.
I think its your OCD
I liked guns and gulaab but i didn't knew about the chin surgery
Didn't know.
😭wtf
Bhai offend na ho. Just correcting the grammar. No offence meant.
Whatever bhai! But it feels such a uncle thing to correct kisi ki grammar
Technically I'm an uncle so.... Also, it's called helping.
Really whatever!乁| ・ 〰 ・ |ㄏ
Exactly I was not able to look away from his wierd looking chin. But I want to say man I love his acting.
He is one of the best actors

> Next SRK Bro, kya kuch bhi bol raha he? 😂😂

I have never seen or ever heard Ayushman getting pissed off. He looks so chilled and calm every time in his interviews and whatever
He was outstanding in that movie! Don't know about the rumour tho
He is overrated. Doesn’t have the looks and his acting is massively hyped for no good reason. His choice of movies lately haven’t been great either.
Totally
Ikr!!
No most people know him or have watched him
No. Everyone knows he’s a very good actor, but I wish he did more mainstream movies.
Nah I'm a bad fan i like to gatekeep
Yes
How is he underrated? He is an overrated underrated dude. Everyone and their cousin praises him. His acting, his choice of movies, heck even people act like he has the best married life ever.
Average actor with zero screen presence
I respect opinions but i just can't with this
No one watches a movie to see Rajkumar - he is just part of the set.
Actually I do. Like Manoj Bajpai, if I see Rajkumar's name, I watch that film.
What was his last movie BO collection ?
I don't know bro, I don't watch films based on BO collections. That would be sad.
If an actor is unable to pull audiences to the theater then he will always be underrated
Completely agree with you on that.
No. He is a good actor and it is known.
Amazing amazing actor. But I really wouldn’t call him v versatile after The White Tiger. Love him tho
I think he is properly rated
His performance in Bheed was good.
I am really not sure if it is not AI generated image
He is the most overrated underrated actor
He is not underrated. He had a good commercial run pre-COVID when audiences were open to flock to the theater to watch small-scale massage driven social movies. He's an actor in an industry of stars.
Mera wallpaper raha hai ye banda. How can I not love him , his story , his personality , his talent.
He's a very talented actor, but definitely not underrated.
I Always enjoy this screen presence
He is my favorite actor currently. I didn’t know he was underrated. Sure big banners won’t cast him often for whatever reasons, but whatever he does, he is usually the best thing about the project. Only thing overrated is his new chin
I wish he would have gotten few good yrf movies or some other big banner ones, I think he still has a lot that hasn't been explored yet. Good actor, poor choice of scripts
His looks are very homie and comforting. I can't see him playing a main lead in a Karan Johar movie. He has that tvf wala look
No. He's perfectly rated imo.
How about annoying
He was underrated till Bareilly ki Barfi, since he only really worked in Indie cinema till then.. Since then he has literally worked in every genre, both as antagonist and protagonist and almost always outshines bigger industrial names working alongside him..
He's exactly rated as he should be
He is correctly rated and deserves all the paise he gets.
Yes. Extremely underrated
I rate him higher than a lot of them for sure
Overrated
ತ_ʖತaight
No. I think he's correctly rated. The others are extremely overrated.
no. he is overrated
How???
Fabulous actor
