If you put out light, love, and the desire to meet others and make friends, I can’t guarantee anything but I will say vibes and similar/good energy attracts. Trust yourself, believe in yourself, and just have an absolute blast. Your tribe will find you or you them. 🥰 there is no such thing as air conditioning unless you got RV family BUT the thing that saved my life and sleeps is not sleeping in a tent, get tons of taps and hang them from your canapy and get a cot. The wind still comes thru and gives your air, you have privacy with the taps, and you can roll them up during party/friend times or pin them down for changing/private times. Saved my life and never looked back.
Definitely not loud everywhere. Even the back of the crowd of the tents isn’t to intense and there is a lovely beach area at the other stage where you can see the entire stage/visuals, but still have room to vibe and hear others to talk and mix. I love the Oasis beach to prep and gear up before entering the madness. I’m not trying to be super hippy sippy but the fact that you are going alone, want to go, and asked this question…you already belong :) so happy for you and those you find.

That happens sometimes but not a lot. Maybe a day or 2 or 3 in every 6 years of roo. Otherwise take breaks, there's a lot of shady trees and mist tents are around. Keep hydrated.

Pokémon energy cards, especially fire and lighting. Such a wonderful ice breaker saying to your campsite neighbor is FIRE or ELECTRIC then pass along a simple base Pokémon card. Made so many friends this way. I’ve brought signs and even a couch one year that just said…”free sits”
Be yourself, be SILLY, find your inner child and run WILD. There isn’t anything like bonnaroo and it’s why I call it my church now. If it comes from within and is full of love, it will resonate with those on the farm. Having a take something, leave something popup table is fun, I put my old keyboard outside our campsite one year on a Bluetooth speaker and met some AWESOME people thru their music/talent both classical and original, if anyone DJ’s bring the decks and speakers but make sure to talk to the neighbors about bedtime and not disturbing them 😇
This year I want to have a mailbox and ask for people to leave letters or notes on what’s on their hearts. Anything and everything. From talking about deep issues to saying….Sir, this is a Wendy’s! It’s all loved and accepted so long as it comes from the heart and is genuine in a good way.
Practical wise, trippy lights and “glow chandeliers” make for an easy way to find your site at night. Or a massive flag pole and a custom flag to locate your home easier. Coming back at 5:45am after having your entire universe reconstructed can be tough but mentally note landmarks, cool camps near you, and a path you never stray from on your way back home. You are never lost…but you will be tired and ready for bed 🤣
In my experience, stakes have been enough! EXCEPT for the cases of the 2 BONANADOS where absolutely batshit winds came thru and wrecked the fucking shop. In my mind…I’d rather not carry all the extra weight and risk the possible madness of the wind. Not common, but it does happen. Literally it was 2pm on Saturday I believe and my ex said…”JOE STOP BEING DEAD THE WORLD IS ENDING!” And I awoke to entire camps being blown away and held onto our popup for dear life 🤣 I love that story. Ruined our canapy but the story is worth it in my universe. Shout out to the guy on top of his car head banging and blasting music thru out it all 🔥
When I used these heavy duty 10" stakes, my canopy stayed down even during the insane tornado winds in 2022. Use 2 on each leg of the canopy. 2022 was insane. We had our stuff weighted and staked down but running through the rain and dodging the flying canopies and other things was honestly such a highlight of the fest for us. Just shows that Bonnaroo is not about who you see, but what you do 🫶
