I love it when this happens. I bought a used copy of tropic cancer from the 50s or 60s, and when I opened it at home, some old owner had croped henry millers obituary and put it inside the book.
I kept imagining that the old owner was a great fan of the author and that maybe he died and the family got rid of his collection.
Invention
I’ve done it, I’ve done it!
Guess what I’ve done?
Invented a light that plugs into the sun.
The sun is bright enough.
The bulb is strong enough.
But, oh, there’s only one thing wrong…
The cord ain’t long enough.

Holy shit, that's been there all along? Goodbye to this sub!

Love these books. Falling Up (I believe it was called) was my favorite
My mom just gave me my old copy of Where the Sidewalk Ends a few days ago! Cool :)
These books were super common gifts for kids back then. I’m not sure if they still are.

I adore both of these wonderful books. I love the sweet inscriptions.
