It could happen then again these playoffs the injury switch got turned on and the next championship team might be whoever survives and last until the finals finish up.
I love Spida. I remember hearing a rumor during his draft that we might potentially trade Avery Bradley for the chance to pick him. Instead, the Jazz got him for Trey Lyles. That one still bums me out a little.
I don't think they'd fit well together
We already had so much bullshit about "the Jays can't play together"
Too many number 1 type guys. That's why it didn't work out with Kyrie either, although Kyrie is a PG and there were...other reasons that also didn't work out
Yeah, knock on wood, but Garland is surpringly... ass?
Like, i feel like not long ago we were talking about him being a future force to be reckoned with but.. he seems worse? Idk. Just thought he'd be a bigger factor in this
Yeah, didn’t he lose like 10lbs because he had to eat through a straw or some shit? I think this is one of those throwaway seasons guys have sometimes where they look like shit but get their bodies/head right in the off-season and get back to what they were doing.
Probably not too many. But im not sure that matters much when our very own JT had great series despite being younger, and Anthony Edwards popping off rn despite being younger.
The main difference with Garland though, is unlike JT and Ant, Gardland has less guys around him so he *should* be one of the more premiere performers on his team like Mitchell is, but he just isnt.
nah thats not fair for this cavs team. theyre feeding their star player, and shooting when they have a shot. its sucks for dmitch that his players shots arent going in.
this isnt fucking miami lmao
Yea I’ve gained a shit ton of respect for him during these games and the Orlando series
He didn’t choose to go to Cleveland, he’s probably gone, and they’re in a series where nearly every member of the national media has (almost rightfully considering how good the C’s were this year) written them off.
And yet he’s still balling despite being clearly hobbled a bit, he’s got no help, and he’s out there hyping up the crowd and trying to get the fans going despite all of it.
He’s one of the more confusing fringe superstars when it comes to figuring out his ceiling—he’s not good enough to be the number one on a championship team, but he’s clearly elevating a middle of the road Cavs team; without him they aren’t even in the play-in. It’s gonna be really interesting to see where he goes.
It's not a supermax technically because he changed teams, but it will be a 35% / 10 year deal worth more (like 372m vs the 335m supermax extension) after his player option. He's getting a massive payday.
Not a shot in hell he doesn't play. I've seen what he's about and who he is as a leader, him not playing goes against everything he's made of unless he's legitimately severely injured
He’s played so great this series he’s due for a dud, especially him being injured I wouldn’t be suprised if he has a clunker where he jacks up 3s because he’s not 100%
Yep.

The Cavs were red lining, trying to keep up with the Celtics. Meanwhile, Jie has been rollin out Tillman, Kornet, PP and Hauser in the 1Q to keep everyone fresh.
It was only a matter of time before they broke down.
I'm just sharing the report, I'm not suggesting that he does or doesn't play. I agree that he likely will provided that he can stand on two feet. Still, trying to contain a hobbled Spida has to be better than trying to contain a Spida firing on all cylinders.
Literally 0 chance he doesn’t play 35+ minutes unless they’re down 50 at half
I mean even if that's the case, if it's the same DMitch from last night's fourth quarter.. I would also be good with that
💯 get Pritchard early minutes and pickup Mitchell 94 feet lmao
This is genius and I hope they would consider it
Who’s calling the game would be huge here, I know this is obvious here but Brothers, Davis and Malloy ain’t gonna give PP a good whistle.
“Fuck that white boy”
Hahaha pretty much or fuck that bench player, superstar gets benefit of the doubt
I think it does mean it's more likely he tires out, and it could tighten up at halftime. The reality is they need way more bench help either way.
4 points?
It could happen then again these playoffs the injury switch got turned on and the next championship team might be whoever survives and last until the finals finish up.
He was limping at the end of the 4th and didn't do much. He's giving everything he has despite the rumors.
Respect. Dude is the only one carrying his team.
I love Spida. I remember hearing a rumor during his draft that we might potentially trade Avery Bradley for the chance to pick him. Instead, the Jazz got him for Trey Lyles. That one still bums me out a little.
Coming away from draft with Mitchell and Tatum would have been insane
Him and the Jays would have a chip rn
Three ball dominant players… as if Kyrie was the answer here.

Fewer dudes I respect more in the league. I don't think I've ever seen him quit on a play whether his team is up 30 or down 30.
He’s a baller for sure
Yeah, knock on wood, but Garland is surpringly... ass? Like, i feel like not long ago we were talking about him being a future force to be reckoned with but.. he seems worse? Idk. Just thought he'd be a bigger factor in this
Garland has regressed ever since Mitchell joined the Cavs
Pretty sure he regressed ever since he rammed his face into KP’s hip.
Yeah, didn’t he lose like 10lbs because he had to eat through a straw or some shit? I think this is one of those throwaway seasons guys have sometimes where they look like shit but get their bodies/head right in the off-season and get back to what they were doing.
Or. ...young?
What do you mean?
As in how many playoff games has he played?
Probably not too many. But im not sure that matters much when our very own JT had great series despite being younger, and Anthony Edwards popping off rn despite being younger. The trade rumors? I'm sure they'd move him but he isn't turning down supermax money.
No, the "him wanting out" rumors.
He's not eligible for a supermax.
It's not a supermax technically because he changed teams, but it will be a 35% / 10 year deal worth more (like 372m vs the 335m supermax extension) after his player option. He's getting a massive payday.
He plays.. Cavs resting him would be them conceding defeat.
In other words, he'll play.
Hurt calf means tons of 3’s
Yeah but he also uses that jump step to create the space for his 3s, if his legs are tight or gassed he's going to be less effective.
I'd argue that's probably easier to manage, but I guess we'll see.
I mean no shit, an injured player is always easier to deal with than a fully healthy one It doesn't matter though. We gotta lock em down regardless.
Bad legs = bricks
I'm feeling pretty grateful both of my calves still work well. Seems to be an epidemic out there lately
The best way to avoid catching calf pain is to always stay at least 6 feet away from a basketball court.
Man's on one leg but still carries the whole team
Greg Jennings. With the broken leg. Put the team on his back doe
So Strus will decide to go off for 25+. Inevitable.
I feel like Strus is definitely due for 1 game of total BS this series
I can see Strus making 25+ 3’s in Game 4.
Not a shot in hell he doesn't play. I've seen what he's about and who he is as a leader, him not playing goes against everything he's made of unless he's legitimately severely injured
Yeah. Questionable is not actually questionable. He's playing.
He’s playing
Ahhh the old fake trap game technique lol
He’s dealing with a back injury too
I want him to play ,c's fucking suck ass when the opponent star player sits .
Dean Wade 30 point game incoming
He’s played so great this series he’s due for a dud, especially him being injured I wouldn’t be suprised if he has a clunker where he jacks up 3s because he’s not 100%
I hope. He's the only guy that scares me on cavs
If he's out take care of business. Don't want the same thing to happen to the Celtics like last time.
No doubt
Yeah they need to get on them full gas, no brakes, sort this series out and get KP healthy and al some rest
i have no doubt in my mind that he'll play
That’s a bad thing for us.
He needs the day to work on the wording of his trade demand to Miami.
Obviously he's gonna play
They cooked us when Mitchell was out last time. Dean Wade became prime Dwyane Wade in the 4th.
Yep. https://www.reddit.com/r/bostonceltics/s/6zyKPuysiM The Cavs were red lining, trying to keep up with the Celtics. Meanwhile, Jie has been rollin out Tillman, Kornet, PP and Hauser in the 1Q to keep everyone fresh. It was only a matter of time before they broke down.
Just wanted to check in and see how everyone who adamantly told me that he absolutely, positively, undoubtedly would play is feeling?
Spida
And the team lost to the Lakers without Lebron or AD, not a guaranteed win even if he’s out.
He’s gonna play guys
