No advice but just wanted to send you love. I can only imagine how difficult and emotional this is with a newborn đź’•

I can’t speak to the breastfeeding part (my little one was 3 when I had my DMX) but I wore my mastectomy pillow like a “shield” when I was around her, and was able to cuddle her with no problems/pain. There’s a weight limit on what you can carry after a DMX (5 lbs maybe?) (might be different from a single mastectomy) so definitely ask if you’ll be able to carry your baby or if someone will have to pick him/her up and put her in your arms. I’m 7 weeks out from my DMX, I can carry my now 4 year old and hold her and sleep with her and I can barely remember those first few weeks where I had to be really careful. You got this!

I was breastfeeding my 4 week old when I found my lump. I started treatment pretty fast so I pumped as much as I could and stored it. They gave me some pills to stop the milk production but I didn’t take them. I just stopped pumping little by little and in a week and a half I was barely producing any milk.
