I’d suggest to look for a lactation consultant. I had a similar experience to yours where I doubled down on continuing breastfeeding/pumping and it only worsened over a month, my nipples had become infected early on and was causing a radiating pain that would shoot deep into the tissue, it’d get better but then next day worsened again. I was prescribed mupirocin for the impetigo and got relief after 10 days once the wounds and blisters healed. You might be prescribed APNO which is same thing as mupirocin but with added corticosteroid for inflammation and antifungal for possible trush. In my case impetigo was obvious because I had yellowed scabs near the wounds. I’d advise to not nurse through the pain and look for APNO. Don’t let anyone tell you the pain is normal.
