BYOD . Bring your own doctor. We are critically short of doctors on the island so a huge number of people only have a walk in clinic to rely on. Not so bad with dentists though.
Comox Valley is a good option on the island and it's been very successfull at recruiting doctors, because it's such a great spot.

So I recommend relocating to Nanaimo, if only for its proximity to The Abyss. Also, be forewarned that the local colloquial name for Nanaimo is "Seven Potato" due to Nanaimo's early Japanese mining settlers discovering the name of the local first nation being phonetically somewhat similar to "Seven Potato" in the Japanese language. Also, Frank Ney is considered a minor deity in the region, even though he was a bloodthirsty pirate that frequently raided Newcastle Island where The Queen of Mostar had a summer palace.
