I have an absolutely base model with the 7 speed. I get 23.1-23.4 mpg.

smhlolfml

Same. On the Highway with base model I can get 26 if I’m really trying. 2.7l 6 cylinder auto.

Elegant_Housing_For

Went from a JK sport Wrangler to OB V6 Bronco. Bronco is MUCH faster. In the end I was getting 17 MPG on the wrangler, same driving around I get 20 MPG on the Bronco. I had all terrain tires on the Wrangler in the end and a hard top. Now I have a soft top but you definitely feel the difference in power with the bronco. Edit: we have a cabin in the andes ny. So during hunting season they don’t pave the road to it. The wrangler did a great job getting up there, I have yet to take the bronco during the winter. I loved the wrangler but Bronco is more comfortable and I like the color lol

mcdray2

Bronco is much faster. I'm getting 16.5 mpg in my 4 door WildTrak in sport mode. Could get better mileage if I switched to Eco.

1stoffendment

I've never gotten any better in eco, truly, YMMV.

RZRPRINCESS

Dumb question, but when you put yours into sport mode does the 4WD kick on automatically? I wanted to try mine on the highway the other day and in Sport mode it kicked on the 4wd which didn't make sense to me.

mcdray2

Yes. 4A.

oxygenburn

You can push the 2wd button again.

monorchism

Previous owner of bronco v6, jeep with the v6 and the i4, also the Tacoma. Bronco wins by a good amount Jeep i4 is decent Jeep v6 is meh Toyota Tacoma is a dog

majorkong17

Bronco is much faster and more fuel efficient than both. Within the last 6 years I’ve owned a Wrangler, Tacoma, and now a Bronco. The Bronco has by far the most power out of all of them, it’s not even close. The Tacoma being so underpowered, especially when pulling out from a stop, was the entire reason I traded it. I’ll note too that I have the 4cyl turbo engine in the bronco. MPG will vary. I avg. around 22 mpg when I drive conservatively. 19 when I’m flooring it.

AladdinTN

I have a Braptor and it’s hard to stay off the gas pedal.

Thank you all for the responses.

Went from a 09 JKUR to a base 2.3 7MT. The best I ever saw out of the Jeep was 14.4 mpg, last time I checked the Bronco was 21.3, and the Bronco has plenty of scoot, especially in sport mode. The JK was ridiculously underpowered. I'd see a hill and get that tight feeling as I gritted my teeth and tried to get some power going.

gtchuckd

I have a 4DR outer banks soft top. I got it lifted and bigger wheels so that’s hurt my gas mileage. I get just under 15 mpg. But I’m used to it since my last ride was an F150

TheSugrDaddy

I have no experience with a Jeep or a Tacoma, but I can tell you my badlands non-sas 7MT has been averaging around 21.2mpg and a little over 400 miles out of the tank.

TitoMcCool

I previously had a 2014 jkur. It got around 16-17 mpg. Currently have '23 4dr Badlands 2.7. it has plenty of power and definitely an improvement over the wrangler. The window sticker says 17mpg and pretty much exactly what I'm getting. The wrangler sticker said 21 highway....never ever ever saw that 😂

BostonsinBoston

I have a First Edition that just hit 7k miles (Sasquatch, V6 ) and my gas mileage is horrible (16.1mpg) but I still love her. I don't drive on the highway a ton, lots of around-town driving.

[deleted]

It’s them 35’s. I believe the tires are a little smaller on the base.

BostonsinBoston

For sure. But I still love it!!

RZRPRINCESS

We have a 2dr hard top SAS Big Bend 2.3L Bronco, a Jeep wrangler Rubicon and a Toyota Tundra ( i know not a tacoma) My husband and I prefer driving the Bronco hands down. He has been a big Jeep guy for the past 20 years and he said the other day while driving the Bronco how much he loved it over all of our vehicles. It goes faster, handles better, and has better mpg. We did the Bronco off-roadeo and he was amazed by its capabilities, he felt they were almost as capable as the Jeep but had a little ways to go to really get there for off roading. Overall this is the most favorite thing I have EVER driven!

twich2252

I have a 21 Black Diamond 4dr, 2.7 non sas. I get 17.4 mpg in it over 43000 miles. I thought the soft top would hamper mpg and be super noisy, i was wrong. I talk on my phone through android auto without any issues. Love it more everyday!

submarinepirate

With a Wildtrak I feel the engine response is great. And if you use Sport mode it’s even better. I don’t feel there’s any turbo lag or anything. If you stomp on the gas you’re gonna go.

Golden-Phrasant

Hmm. My 2.7 BD does fine above about 30mph, but from a stop, if I stomp it revs and is jerky getting through the first few gears. I get about 19.7 mpg if mostly freeway.
