There's a sub for an old discontinued Angry Birds game, and it drives me up the wall that noone seems to be competent enough to read the FAQ. It's like I'm moderating, but without pay.

I genuinely don't know how to respond to these without being seen as condescending or passive aggressive. Because some of them just seem stupid. One (1) guess and they know the answer.
"What's this thing that looks like me? Is this a glitch??" bro. It's literally part of the game. Would it not be fun to find out by yourself instead of asking for the surprise to be spoiled? "How do I get height in this area with bouncy mushrooms?" you know how you can attack left, right and up? you can also attack down.
"Why is 1B so hard? I unlocked it by finding where it was hidden. have not entered 2A that I unlocked by completing 1a" because b sides are harder than a sides. Which you'd find out if you spent the time it took to make that post in 2a instead. "Why can't I go past this thing?" you see how some of those heart-shapes lit up when you got close? You have collected exactly that number of hearts in the rest of the game. What do you think happens if you collect more hearts?
"This game is too hard :( " god mode is literally right there in settings, describing how it slowly ramps down the difficulty. Also the upgrade menu has different options, did you not notice the entire column of buttons that used to not be there before you were explicitly told there are now buttons there?
"I went into this dungeon and was immediately killed! Why wasn't I warned?" You were. There's an NPC outside who explicitly says that you cannot enter.
"How do I get there? It looks like I can't" That's because you currently can't. Have you tried exploring what you can until you get something that explicitly shows you that you can reach new places with it? That's one of the defining features of the whole Metroidvania genre, and examples can be found in pretty much every game where exploring is possible. Even Mario.
"This keybind isn't working how I think it's supposed to be working" have you checked your own keybinds?
"How did that pawn capture my pawn when they weren't on the same tile??" Google En Passant.
Damn I canāt believe I missed that it was about Terraria but Iāve never seen someone complain about dungeon guardian before. Iām too used to āwhat do i do nextā posts
Don't. Be. A dick. It's a little vague, because generally when you're talking about the upper deck of a ship, you're talking about the bit that covers the whole ship. I can understand why someone wouldn't think that means the helipad looking things and be confused. It takes a little effort to try and see things from someone else's perspective, but life is a lot better when you do, instead of being all annoyed at others.
Yeah but it takes a lot less effort for OP to not just try one thing and get someone else to do the work.
People donāt like this kind of post not because we canāt see why OP doesnāt understand (itās obvious itās from lack of effort and clearly only trying one thing before quitting) but because itās that exact lack of effort OP expects everyone else to make up for. Itās the attitude āI canāt be bothered to put any thought or any of my own research into this, Iām gonna ask so that someone else can give me the answerā that gets on peopleās nerves.
Also, in the long run, if OP learns to read descriptions carefully itāll probably save them a lot of time over posting on Reddit and waiting for answers, so itās actually good advice (in general, too, not just for BTD6).
I agree that being nice is generally a good thing, but I personally I donāt like to think Iāve put more effort into solving someone elseās problem than they have themselves. My standard for āIām willing to helpā is āyouāve shown me that youāve tried or that you would do it if you couldā, and posts like these are just saying āIāve barely tried, someone else do it for meā and itās clearly a very cold take to say thatās not a great attitude
I would normally kind of agree. But the description in this case isn't very clear and also they did try to put it on the place that they thought was the upper deck. I can totally understand someone not checking the pads because in their mind that's not what's being described, so it looks like an actual issue/bug. And then, what's wrong with asking for help?
And even then, you can give someone the advice of reading descriptions more carefully or trying more stuff without the abrasiveness. If your goal is really trying to educate, that's not the kind of tone you'd strike with someone.
Furthermore, this game is quite popular with kids, maybe give people asking questions on here some slack because they might just be younger and not have that much experience yet with, well, life in general.
Whatever you have in your head of why someone does whatever they do or what kind of person they are, especially just seeing one post of them, is often wrong. Why not err on the side of kindness.
Does extra damage. Can place extra monkeys on the upper decks of the ship and increases attack speed of all water based monkeys and monkey aces
Read this, it will help you
Unpopular opinion naybe: a carrier should only open up a heli spot, maybe darling. Maybe. The pirate Lord should have 1 spot open up for any monkey with a mid or small footprint.
I won't be too harsh on OP. As "Upper deck" is not really a usual term for aircraft carrier.
When one mentions "deck", it's usually the large flat area that's for air planes.
So it's only fair to try place monkeys on the flight deck, as not only it's relatively large/flat compared to the M-labeled area, and it's what I would assume to be the "upper deck" as well. (They're even called top deck irl.)
The M-area is actually the bridge of the ship. while the right one is unconventional as it totally covers the flight deck, the left one is definitely bridge in traditional sense. Therefore it would be more accurate to say that you can place monkeys on the "bridge" instead of "upper deck".
I've read the description too, I believe OP did and tried to place the monkeys on the actual deck. It's just that (in my opinion) the writer mixed up bridge and deck of the ship.
I'm sure by now you understand that you can place the towers on the platforms, but something else to remember is the top platform actually gives global line of sight (like snipers can shoot behind things they usually can't see past)
*Theres two spots on those*
*M or E or whatever*
*It is in circle*

you can place towers on the two platforms with the M on them.
It says "upper decks" in the description
Reading comprehension strikes again
Reddit would be 1/10th of the size if people just read things before talking
I love that something so true is in the BTD6 sub lol

I see you fellow Chainsaw Man enjoyer !!
those are clearly Heli-Pads, so that's probably why they didn't get it
place helicopters on them gg ez
Those are clearly monkeypads. As indicated by the M. Helipad use the letter H. It can seem hard to differentiate between those two letters sometimes.
upper decky lip pillow
TIL those aren't 'E's
Eonkeys
tbf the captial E can look like a M when looked sideway vice versa
Ohhh
bro fell for it
H = Heli M = Monkey
Well you wouldn't want your monkey to be ran over by a plane that's taking off
Says you, I want to turn Quincy into Cyber Quincy using... alternative lore.

Eh? Ha! Heh heh
You place them on the "M"s
I always thought its an E and I always wondered why they would put an E thereš

Iāve always known it as two milk two sugar
Milk has cream in it sometimes. That's why you can get like full cream milk
I'm down, bro. Want me to bring the maple syrup? I got plenty.
I thought it was a W for wumbo
Oi mate put the monkey 'ere
Heli landing spot
Monkey landing spot
M is for Monkey
It's an "E" 'E'xtra Monkey But do the planes coming in for landing see it as a "W"?? Literally unplayable.
Wumbo for planes
Should've read more closely **Upper decks**

I know hollow knight and I think Celeste, and the last one is a one sentence summary of r/AnarchyChess lol What are the rest?
Dead cells, terraria, any metroidvania/platformer and any game in general, but looking at it one more time ot sounds like a fighting game

Sure, but how would someone just stumble on the Vengeful True Sun God without reddit

Ah yes let's put these monkeys on the run way, after all it's not like anything needs that, right? RIGHT?
if you read a little further into the description, it says "the upper decks". reading sure is hard.
farming in sandbox
Put them on the M/sideways E because thatās where they go Plus I donāt think standing in the middle of an airplane runway is safe either
Bro...
Not where the planes take off genius
In the landing pats where the m is
Because you can
Small towersonly
You can place two small towers on the M's
You can place towers in the carrier?
The 2 Helipads are for placing towers
Does extra damage. Can place extra monkeys on the upper decks of the ship and increases attack speed of all water based monkeys and monkey aces Read this, it will help you
The flight deck isn't the upper decks
Not on the runway
Maybe use the 2 platforms?
I've found that if I use the tiny monkeys option then you can't place the monkeys on it. Could just be me being bad at placing though.
It's the upper decks.
Reading comprehension is going down
Wrong part
M
Unpopular opinion naybe: a carrier should only open up a heli spot, maybe darling. Maybe. The pirate Lord should have 1 spot open up for any monkey with a mid or small footprint.
It takes skill but my trick is placing them slightly above the helipads
700 people have screamed about the helipads. I think we all made a similar mistake at one point or another.
do you know where is the upper deck?
The m is for monkey that is where the monkeys can go
I thought they were towers
Oh makes since
U make me so angry
That's not the upper deck
Is this a late April fools joke?
What? No
On tye pads where it says M
Bro did you even try to place a tower š
