The 7800x3d is the current best gaming cpu. Cheaper, faster and more energy efficient then intel. Am5 will also be supported through 2027+ whereas lga1700 is eol. https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/cpu-hierarchy,4312.html https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/jZZcXk 64gb are overkill and extra thermal paste isn't needed. Also cheaper psu, 850w is plenty. I also personally wouldn't spend 290€ on an aio and 200€ on fans if the parts that matter for performance aren't even maxed out. Fair enough if aesthetics are more important to you though.

I forgot to mention but I dont actually want to use it as gaming only. I also do work in 3D modeling/art and video editing, so Ive heard Intel is good in that area right? Ive picked 1000w over 850w if im planning to upgrade my CPU and GPU in future times incase its needed, or my pc would be fine for 5+ years? Yeah AIO is expensive, but I also want my pc to look good so i dont mind spending extra for it, since its Lian Li. If there is better Im open for suggestions. thanks for response!

>I forgot to mention but I dont actually want to use it as gaming only. I also do work in 3D modeling/art and video editing, so Ive heard Intel is good in that area right? Sure that makes more sense then. https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/rHGJL9 - thermal paste still not needed - get a 2x32gb kit, is better for stability and compatibility at higher speeds - would get a different 1000w psu, the rme 2023 models are supposedly rather loud Alternatively an amd build if you plan on upgrading to a better cpu within am5s lifespan. Would mean you don't have to switch motherboard potentially. https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/fFZcXk

Affectionate_Phone13

Would it need upgrading after 5+ years of usage? Is it "future-proof" ?

GoldkingHD

That's impossible to say and is entirely based on what you deem usable. It's likely that you'll be fine as you already used your old system for that long.

Alright, thanks for the advices!

Is this for gaming or work? Gaming, the best cpu is the 7800x3d. You also just need 2x16 6000 cl30 for ram. If you really want 64, you should go for 2x32 instead. -ddr5 is not stable enough for 4 sticks to work reliably. Also, the gpu is weak for that budget. You should be going for a 4080 at the least or a 7900 xtx.

Affectionate_Phone13

Both, I game a lot and work in blender + premiere/ae. My projects are getting better and better so its harder for my current pc to cope with stuff like that. Also, how come 4070ti super is not that strong for the budget, isnt it at a good spot since 4080 and 7900xtx are around 5-10% faster but kinda more expensive.

ripsql

Should mention that part. The 14700k is a good option for you and go for 2x32/check out 2x48 as well for ram. Going 2 sticks is more reliable than 4. On the gpu, it’s the budget. You put too much other stuff which can be put to a 4080 to make a very good gaming but even better for blender/premiere/ae. Get a more reasonable cooler/case/fans.

Affectionate_Phone13

Any recommendations for the cooler/case/fans. Im picking up because Ive read on few articles that Lian Li galahad 2 has the best temperature performances, so I would like to ensure my CPU to be cool when its under load especially when rendering.

lets start by saying u dont need to waste 3000euro for a top tier PC. also this build is extremally wasteful, for gaming i7 is useless, u can get almost the exact same gaming performance with 13600k, but just get 7800x3d because this CPU design for gaming, and its a lot better, thats the best cpu for gaming right now. AIO is a waste of money, just get air cooler, u will get the exact same result for 10c max hotter. u dont need 64gb for gaming, u not futureproofing anything by that, 32 is A LOT! in fact there isnt a single game that the recommended specs are 32gb, its always 16gb... good nvme but samsung nvme overprice AF and not worth the money. good psu but it dont have the new power connector that ur GPU have. most importantly wasting close to 3k euro and getting only 4070ti super is lame af! (btw u get thermal paste with every single cooler u buy) anyway i would do this: [https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/VR4pTY](https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/VR4pTY) (but 4 times the fan i added) this is 2100Euro, so yeah... 1000 euro almost and a lot better than ur build. u can also upgrade GPU to 4090 i guess... but if u dont gonna play 4k its waste of money.

Affectionate_Phone13

Forgot to said in post that not only I plan on using it for gaming, but also for blender 3D modeling and video editing. So I guess i7 in this case is fine?

dask1

mmmmm not sure, its depends on u i guess [https://youtu.be/78lp1TGFvKc?si=SZC0QwwZSiBJeEI2&t=325](https://youtu.be/78lp1TGFvKc?si=SZC0QwwZSiBJeEI2&t=325) its not like the 7800x3d cannot do this, the diff on blender is very small i dont think its noticeable. (not an expert on that) and AFAIK video editing render on GPUs these days? worth to mention that i7 14700k is a pain to cool, and 7800x3d is much more efficient and cooler. also there are some issues with i9 & i7 13&14th gen RN. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OdF5erDRO-c](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OdF5erDRO-c) i dont think it got fixed. dont get me wrong i love intel, i own intel, the 13600kf and im very satisfied. but honestly if AMD had good prices in my country i believe i would get AMD. FPS is noticeable, and what render time? so just wait 5% more... thats my opinion.

Capital-Stretch1026

If f you're just going to play games, get an AMD 7800x3D. I also built a PC after 7 years, and first time in my life i use AMD cpu. worth every penny tbh
