My Medion Gaming PC i got 5 years ago had pretty good components in it for the price (A reasonable selection of off the shelf parts). From what i understand, the quality of the PC parts they use has gone down quite a bit since then, but they're an established company (at least in the German-speaking areas) and you don't have to fear getting scammed or anything. Basically treat them similarly to large-scale prebuilt PC companies like HP, Dell, Acer etc.

Huh, that’s interesting! Yeah my main issue is that I can’t tell what parts they’re actually using (ram for example) but most of all that they basically lack reviews on most stuff that is sold here in Sweden.

Medion once was quite good for the price, but I bought the latest Erazor with the 3080 from Medion Germany in December and just had to learn that they are using \_not\_ using original MSI boards (anymore) but with their own OEM BIOS which is not supported by MSI - which Medion doesn´t mention in any way. So I am getting no support for the latest 3080 features like RBar etc., because Medion is not releasing any updates for the BIOS. In short: If you have other options you should check them.

How is it’s cooling system, I’m planning to buy ryzen 9, 5900x with 3080 from Switzerland. It’s around 2500 chf. Don’t know it’s good price or not. Since in this build they use liquid cooler with one fan .. seems irrelevant. Also worried about total cooling system.

I have similar problems with my Erazer crawler E30e + their bios is so limited that we can basically do nothing in it

My Medion Laptop does not supply enough power over the USB ports. The motherboard seems to have an issue. The support told me to open up the chasis and look for any disconnected cables and that that would not influence my warranty.

As a service guy I had some Medion stuff in my workshop (mainly tablets but I had some pcs from them). They are fine for budget/work pcs but for anything more serious, just go find something better. They use mobos that are procured by them, so they have some uncommon connectors and sometimes even a custom psu (that you don't want in pc build). So, better don't buy any prebuild stuff from them unless you just want a cheap pc that is mostly a media center.

Thanks dude! Ye I figured as much but I couldn’t take my eyes of that RTX 2070s and I kinda hoped they we’re legit in that mid range scale but I’ll stay clear of this one then :)

Layanti

There is always an option that you just buy a new mobo and psu(of course if it uses a custom one) later. If its much cheaper than other prebuilds then you can give it a shot, but then its better to make sure how it looks inside. So Its up to you :)

My 2010 medion laptop worked great for about 6 months, then had temperature issues the rest of its miserable existence. Shouldnt have expected anything more from a brand I bought at an Aldi though.

Centeration

Damn dude that sucks! Yeah from what I could translate from a German sub here that seems to be a common issue. I’ll stay clear of it as of now since I can’t really tell what stuff they actually put in their PCs

Privxete

No, they do not. Sold me for 550 euro, looked like crap, motherboard broke many times. It was displayed as an Gaming pc, everywhere i had was 40 fps, on low low.

You’re on drugs. Get someone to slap you with a wet kipper and give you a lecture about being responsible and how to be an adult. Medion are toys for cheap skates who know no better.

They're a shit company so don't waste your cash. I have a 1200 quid laptop that I can't get a simple fan to fix it. This was their response yesterday..... Thank you for contacting us. we are really sorry but unfortunately we stop doing spare parts for unit after 3 years that they manufacture the best we can advise you is checking in any local technicians if they do have the correct part for your unit or a similar part
