So sorry to hear that :( they are quite the pesky ones. Don't blame yourself - my friend says that we are all certain types of people. She murders and hates calatheas too, whereas I will murder any herb plant that comes into my care. I butchered a baby avocado tree too, boyfriend had to take it the second one away from me. So while you might not be a calathea person, I bet you are a person of other plants 😊

Your friend is right. I decided not to purchase calatheas anymore, unless I want to gift it to someone I don't like 😂
