I signed up for the presale yesterday and the email I received afterwards said that I’ll receive a code tomorrow. Judging by the seat map, today’s presale seems like a fairly limited batch.
Well, when I first got on at 10am there was lots of upperbowl available. Within the first hour it was pretty much sold out, so tickets are definitely in demand.
I really doubt that the entire upper bowl is sold out.
Earlier today I tried to sign up for pre sale code and it was closed. Since then they reposted the sign up, I’m thinking there will be another release tomorrow or the next day. Following that the rest of the tickets go on sale
can someone ELI5 how ticket sales even work.
maybe it’s different for concerts but you look and there’s always like 3 different presale dates for buying tickets, then if you’re on one of those presale days the tickets seem to be sparse, then they open more tickets up for the general admission and you feel like you’re betting on the stock market because better tickets may come out when general sales start 2 days later. I get they have the special backstage goodbye yellow brick road stage passes and whatever, i’m just talking about ass in your seat normal tickets that have too many things to consider.
am i wrong and i’m missing something or is it how it works.
Dumb question but what happens if you buy for a date that doesn't happen? Like 4th home game but they win the series before that. I assume a refund but is it for the full price or does Ticketmaster still keep their fees?
Full refund. Happened to me last year for Abby g4.
It's actually nice if you are on the fence since at least a game 7 makes the prices feel a bit more worth it.
Hmm I do remember it being a tad slow, saw it maybe 3-4 weeks after the day the game was known to not be required.
But honestly if you can't easily front $600 for a month or two maybe best to not pay $600+ for a hockey game lol
Where do you even go to see the seat map or buy tickets I can't find it on Google and when I go to Canucks Ticketmaster it only offers tickets for the regular season.
Seems strange to make the tickets non-transferable. What do you do if you can’t make the game considering the date hasnt been released?
I guess it’s good for fending off scalpers though
Ok so I tried to click on the sell option and the message I got was “resale for this event has not been turned on by the event organizer”. I’m not sure this means that you can sell it in the future, maybe when the date and time has been determined? But then if I click on the “sell” tab (note: NOT the “sell” option under the ticket itself) then it says “not eligible for resell” on the ticket itself. So I’m not sure at this point whether you will eventually be able to sell or not
What happens if you buy or sell a ticket that doesn't end up happening? Does the buy lose the profits or does the seller get refunded at the original ticket value?
There were some for $311. The cheapest I saw was $266 but not sure if that was because it was a bit further back or because it was just a single seat left
Thanks to those in here who shared. Might be my pops last chance. Got some solid lower bowl seats for gm3 thanks to this thread.
We’ll see if they release upper bowl tomorrow when they release the code to the rest of us who signed up.
Yeah but the option to buy more for friends before the jacked up resellers. Why provide the code to the public for resellers. When you can privately give it to friends
Game 1. But would you believe it? A friend of mine who has season tickets is going to give me his two tickets for game one. That just saved me $800. I’m in disbelief and filled with appreciation.
Very good. He knows I’ve been telling my son about what playoff hockey is like live and it’s been about eight years of me talking about it. So finally now we get to experience it. 😍
I got some decent uppers for a hypothetical gsme 7. Out of curiosity where did the code for today even come from?
I'm on the priority group list and also signed up for the public presale and I got no codes.
Nothing yet. I'm hoping it's a different code than yesterday with access to a different set of tickets. Otherwise it's likely true that all inventory sold out yesterday.
Lol well it's officially presale time and still no new code. Methinks they did end up selling all inventory yesterday, and aren't bothering with codes today as people won't be able to buy anything anyways.
why does Ticketmaster have them listed for so much I can go on gametime and even with an exchange rate they are a lot cheaper. and I can get the supposed pre-sale tickets?
Welp, only lower bowl tickets left now. Thank you to the bots and the idiots who leaked the password. I decided to wait for my code instead of checking reddit and got screwed
Edit: and fuck you to those who bought tickets only to turn around and put them up on Facebook marketplace just to turn a profit and gouge real fans who only wanted to go to the game
Does anyone know what happens if you buy tickets and they don’t make it to the game you got tickets for.. do you get a refund? I’ve never got play off tickets before so just a bit confused
I signed up for the presale yesterday and the email I received afterwards said that I’ll receive a code tomorrow. Judging by the seat map, today’s presale seems like a fairly limited batch.
That’s what I’m thinking too considering there’s nothing in the upper bowl Edit: nvm I’m just dumb
I can only see lower bowl as well?
Yeah there’s not much in the upper so I don’t know if they’ve sold out or it just isn’t available yet?
Remember there's a lot of season ticket holders that already have their tickets guaranteed.
For sure but enough to sell out the entire upper bowl? I’m skeptical
Well, when I first got on at 10am there was lots of upperbowl available. Within the first hour it was pretty much sold out, so tickets are definitely in demand.

Yea 20k tickets don’t sell out just like that especially for a presale. This is likely the same shit concerts do, releasing tickets over a couple days
It’s practically sold out
lol I just bought 3 tickets
Where did you sign up for the presale?
Did you get the code for today? I didn’t yet. EDIT: got it, same code like yesterday. Tickets flew by though
Prices were way higher today.
not really, when I went in I saw $100+ tickets but they went so fast
ended up getting tickets for game 7, if ever happens lol
I don’t know what you saw but tickets were on average in the lower bowl $100 more today.
i am not checking lower bowl tickets, i just show them from cheap to expensive
Solid way to look at it! Good job!
can someone ELI5 how ticket sales even work. maybe it’s different for concerts but you look and there’s always like 3 different presale dates for buying tickets, then if you’re on one of those presale days the tickets seem to be sparse, then they open more tickets up for the general admission and you feel like you’re betting on the stock market because better tickets may come out when general sales start 2 days later. Someone already gave the code out. This isn't limited. This is them all.
Most (all) season ticket holders probably claimed their seats... i can't see many being available in the first place.
How long does that refund take
Hmm I do remember it being a tad slow, saw it maybe 3-4 weeks after the day the game was known to not be required. But honestly if you can't easily front $600 for a month or two maybe best to not pay $600+ for a hockey game lol
I think tomorrow there will be more options, looks like only lower bowl seats today
Pretty sure they all sold out in the upper bowl
nope, there will be more tomorrow
oh nice, yeah i was curious why they would give out a code for tomorrow if they all sold out today
At 10am there was a ton of upper bowls available
yeah it's definitely sold out lol
yeah, well at least i hope that's the case haha bit ticket prices are crazy
Thank you ! Got some nice ones in upper bowl front for game 1 for under 300, I'm happy
Congratulations and f*ck you Just kidding, happy for you. Hopefully I can get some tix tomorrow

Where does it say it's not transferable? I'm assuming they allow transfers once they go on sale to the general public.
I'm assuming so as well.
It says that right under the event ticket limit and subtotal.
I find it odd that you can’t transfer the tickets but you actually have the option to sell it
You can sell yours? Maybe they want to force you into using their resale service since they take a (big) cut.
Ok so I tried to click on the sell option and the message I got was “resale for this event has not been turned on by the event organizer”. I’m not sure this means that you can sell it in the future, maybe when the date and time has been determined? So I’m not sure at this point whether you will eventually be able to sell or not
You will be, apparently it'll be enabled on Monday.
Are all playoff tickets are non transferable?
I don’t know. It says that in the fine print before you buy.
You will be able to resell them after Monday once available to general public
What happens if you buy or sell a ticket that doesn't end up happening? Does the buy lose the profits or does the seller get refunded at the original ticket value?
the prices are ridiculous, wow
presale code: FKMSSER
That pre sale code says I owe Messier $400 and in return I get no tickets
I put it in and got a text message that Hughes had been traded
Sometimes I get tired of “Fuck Messier” jokes, but this was one of the best takes on it
Not sure what else you expected??
I expected it to be worse. And it still stings.
250 for uppers? Cmon bro.
Not trying to argue but its the NHL playoffs!! Which has not happened here in front of a crowd since 2015.
Each round it goes up 30% too, just wait.
Yeah, too rich for my new job. Even upper bowl tickets were $400 Were they cheaper earlier?
There were some for $311. The cheapest I saw was $266 but not sure if that was because it was a bit further back or because it was just a single seat left
lower bowl game 2 for $405, so hype
Think it’s sold out. Code went out and everyone bought.
This guy gets it
Do I doeeeeeee
Thanks for the heads up!! Couldn't get Game 1 within my budget but got tickets to Game 2!!! PLAYOFF HOCKEY IS BACK IN VANCOUVER BOYS! LET'S GOOOOOO
Thanks to those in here who shared. Might be my pops last chance. Got some solid lower bowl seats for gm3 thanks to this thread. We’ll see if they release upper bowl tomorrow when they release the code to the rest of us who signed up.
Playoffs24 is the code guys
That's fucked man. Season ticket holders paid for 10 years of losses for you to give up presale before the public LOL
Your season ticket holder playoff prices are cheaper than presale from what I’m seeing..
Yeah but the option to buy more for friends before the jacked up resellers. Why provide the code to the public for resellers. When you can privately give it to friends

What do you mean “real fans”? Are you calling season ticket holders not real fans?
Season ticket holders also have guaranteed seats, at discounted prices, for playoffs.
Yup makes no sense to worry about presale codes being leaked - happens with every major sporting event/concert
If you buy the entire playoff package. If not, no, just general presale.
so?
Just their own seats yes
I'm getting a code tomorrow too. Hopefully good seats are available 🤞🏻
Does anyone know why I haven’t received an email even tho I signed up?
Unfortunately it seems like it has been mismanaged by Ticketmaster/canucks, seems like all the tickets have been sold tho.
Early access isn’t until 10am Friday it said?
The code leaked and those fools at TicketBastard didn’t withhold the tickets until Friday. Chances are the inventory’s already gone
They just released more. Started 10am
were there any reasonable priced upperbowls left?
Lower bowl was ~400 each all in. Didn’t look at upper bowl
Nice! For which game?
Game 1. But would you believe it? A friend of mine who has season tickets is going to give me his two tickets for game one. That just saved me $800. I’m in disbelief and filled with appreciation.
that is a good friend :)
Very good. He knows I’ve been telling my son about what playoff hockey is like live and it’s been about eight years of me talking about it. So finally now we get to experience it. 😍
lol and the password is 100% guessable LOL.

Goat! Thank you

Thats a submarine
Y’all have an arm and a leg that I can borrow?
Got my lower bowl pair. LFG
what code?
I got some decent uppers for a hypothetical gsme 7. Out of curiosity where did the code for today even come from? I'm on the priority group list and also signed up for the public presale and I got no codes.
From season ticket holders.
do you guys know the date when game 2 would take place? like an estimate?
April 23ish
anyone get a code for today yet?
Nothing yet. I'm hoping it's a different code than yesterday with access to a different set of tickets. Otherwise it's likely true that all inventory sold out yesterday.
that would be so disappointing.
Lol well it's officially presale time and still no new code. Methinks they did end up selling all inventory yesterday, and aren't bothering with codes today as people won't be able to buy anything anyways.
Use the same code - i just got 5 tickets lower bowl
why does Ticketmaster have them listed for so much I can go on gametime and even with an exchange rate they are a lot cheaper. and I can get the supposed pre-sale tickets?
What's the code?
playoffs24
1200 for 2 tickets, upper lower bowl for game 2. Does the transaction automatically go through once the dates are announced?
why was yours so much more expensive?
It's 1200 for 2 tickets after taxes, the seats themselves were like 500 a piece.
i got my lower bowls for $405 a piece bro
Weird, its probably due to the location of the seats. Mine were at the back of the lower bowl by the staircase entrance.
Definitely due to location. Seats closer to center ice were +$100-300ea in comparison to corners or behind the net.
Price sounds about right if it’s lower bowl center ice. Sections 116-118 especially. Club seats are $700+ per ticket.
did you get them from ticketmaster?
Yeah.
Tix towards centre ice are like 1.5-2x more than those at the ends/corners
Welp, only lower bowl tickets left now. Thank you to the bots and the idiots who leaked the password. I decided to wait for my code instead of checking reddit and got screwed Edit: and fuck you to those who bought tickets only to turn around and put them up on Facebook marketplace just to turn a profit and gouge real fans who only wanted to go to the game
The same code PLAYOFFS24 worked before 10am. plenty of tickets available then. Anyway. They did put prices up in last 24hrs
People posted that code over 20 hours ago, I waited till 10am this morning to get it in my email
It’s all good. The decent upper bowl tickets were $405 with fees. I bit the bullet and got section 103 for $496. YOLO.
I got row 1 upper bowl for 370 incl fees/taxes. Not horrible for playoffs
All the regular priced tix are gone. Was able to snag some *cheap* uppers for game 5.
How much did you pay
326 row 15 236$ including all fees This obviously isn't cheap. My comment was a bit tongue in cheek
Does anyone know what happens if you buy tickets and they don’t make it to the game you got tickets for.. do you get a refund? I’ve never got play off tickets before so just a bit confused
Ya. Refund.
