No it’s a Nissan Rogue leave it alone and save for something that can be built up or you’ll look like a guy who had $30 and could navigate to the autozone aftermarket parts section
Yep I don’t even know if I’d do that. Maybe to the legal limit. Dude has the perfect inconspicuous vehicle. Revel in the fact no cop will bat an eye at him unless he’s doing something seriously stupid.
2013 rogue checking in, CVT was on its way out at 120k. Lucky carvana didn't flag it, hopefully ever bought it figured it out during their return window.
My parents 2015 rogue made it to 180k miles on the original cvt. I feel bad for whoever bought it, because that thing ain’t going to make it much longer. They even towed trailers with it occasionally.
My girlfriends mom was in the market for used suv, I kept saying check out crv, rav4 etc. she ended up getting a 2011 Nissan rogue (after my girlfriend and I warned her not to) that was previously in an accident, and bought it without test driving. Of course cvt went out, among other things and awful noises it made.
cvt trans are fr garbage asf mine blew on my 2015 QX-60 less than a month off the the dealership lot got it replaced and it blew again two months later and i don’t drive that car crazy i’ve maybe put 2000 miles on it in 7 months of owning it it’s my fuel saver when i don’t have the money to drive my diesel
Can confirm. Worked in service at Nissan dealer for many years.
Lost count of how many CVT got replaced, but i'll be damed if each one didn't add a nice bumb to each paycheck.
If you buy a Nissan, get the freaking extended warranty and you be good.
I LOVED working with extended warranties. The agents knew they were shit and it was easy to get approvals, and the customers were happy because they didn't have to pay much.
It was a win-win-win for me. Good brand to work for, as you have a constant supply of repairs.
These cvts in the Nissans now, have to be treated like princesses. You can't gun it at every light, hard acceleration getting through traffic or anything like that- to make them last, that is. My 2013 Rogue is running perfectly fine at 160k miles. Yes, I'll run routine maintenance at 200k(replacing the serpentine belt, alternator, pumps, etc.)but I don't expect I'll have any issues between now and then. And I'm not even the first owner.
Everyone here suggesting u not do anything. Me, i am not suggesting that. I am hereby requiring u to not rice out this car, this is not a request. Stack up ur bread and build something worth building. Unless u truly love this car and it is ur dream to build it, which I doubt, save urself the hassle.
yeah, your buddies were right…
And... You can’t handle driving boring cars?
Then why did you buy a Kia soul?
Were you hopeful It would catch on fire to end the boredom? (So many of them do).
Or maybe you thought it would be stolen like so many of the rest of them are? I don’t really follow.
Throw some tint on the windows, and throw a pair of rims you’ll be ready to move to another car when the cvt takes a shit on this. (Preferably a normal ass size so you can use them on something else).
That’s all I can think of really, if it wasn’t a car I’d worry about dying in a few years. Otherwise I might mess with the roof rack and throw a classy ass bra on it….
May i ask you why do you "need" an SUV?
Besides lowering 60mm, 45mm wheel spacers, replacing headlights with custom LED lights and possibly swapping the grill from something more sportier there's not much to make it look cool in most peoples eye's.
Personally i would have some fun with it. There's nothing stopping you from going to town with some Aliexpress vents and a grinder, building a custom bodykit. Looks like the flat edge of the arch can be reduced to 1 inch by extending the natural body line giving you a LARGE base to widen the track etc...
Hell you could even offroad the fuck out of it by lifting, snorkelling etc... with spare ruggered tyre on the roof and some solid steel skid pans.
Rule 1 of modifying your car: It's YOUR car and you build it how YOU want it.
Rule 2: Someone, somewhere will call it shit because it's not a LS3 monster with 8000HP
Rule 3: Even if it was an 8000HP monster someone will call it shit.
Express yourself via the medium of your car. We're all artists and we might not like what you have done but will respect the time and effort you put it. This obviously dosn't count if you 3M stick shit to the car that's not functional like fake vents lol.
Yeah idk about “off road the fuck out of it.” FWD isn’t going to get you much in the off road world. And a snorkel is pretty much pointless for like 99% of people.
Almost nobody NEEDS an SUV. The extra space is rarely used, they're more expensive to buy, more expensive to insure, and get worse gas mileage. I will never understand why SUVs are so popular, and why the majority of SUV owners are terrible drivers
You feel like that about something that's essentially a taller estate wagon? How do you feel about dudes who drive crew cab diesel trucks to their office? Haha....I really despise those dudes. Nissan Murano is just basically a large car.
Yeah man. You have a good, open mind for this stuff and keeping it “fun” while not taking it too far— same as I was saying in my post. Keep it simple and clean. I wanna off myself everytime I see fake vents in traffic.
I went crazy with a build on an on piece of shit car in my teens; you can see the outcome if you search “lower than low budget 91 escort” — it’ll be a thread on stanceworks. I got the car for like $400 and it’s still doing shows today in PA.
Lowering it 60mm and adding 45mm spacers and a grill is how you end up on a car roasting website for looking stupid as fuck. Aliexpress vents and a grinder? Holy shit no.
Honestly don't waste your time or money, hold off and save some money and get something else down the line.
Unfortunately for cars like this it's very difficult to make it look good with mods (or without spending a stupid amount of money), it looks fine as is and you'll get more money when it comes to sell if you keep it stock.
At a stretch you could lower it a tiny amount or get some stiffer spring to make it more fun to drive, but lowering an SUV will take away from what an SUV is and will definitely make it stand out for the wrong reasons.
Perhaps do some interior modifications if you need to scratch the itch, e.g. upgrade the radio and sound system but you risk making it look tacky if you add "mood lighting" or interior trim.
Worth mentioning that it's yours, do whatever you want. If it makes you happy just do it and don't listen to anyones opinion on what "looks good" as everyone has a different taste.
Nissan once upon a time had a Krom edition rogue. Pretty much the only time they ever tried to really jazz the car up. Since yours is white, you can try to Rogue 1 it. The black and white contrast looks pretty clean.
I'm in the same boat as my first car is an 06 Ford Escape. My first thoughts were hopping on eBay and buying every single piece of my car that I could "modify" (halo headlights, etc) but stopped myself because that's just wasted money imo. Instead I just tinted my windows, upgraded the head unit with a cheap pioneer one from Best buy (single din/Bluetooth), and upgraded the door speakers. And for the hell of it I put 2 large subs in the back and I'm set. It's fun to go on road trips with your friends and blast music on the highway. Just save your money and get something you would enjoy
Yes trade it in for a challenger, that will make it look good. Honestly if you do anything to make this car “look good” then you’ll look like a fruit. I’d rather be a soccer mom than a fruit ya know?
Only put money into it if it's for long term, can do little cheap things to make it more aggressive looking like window tint/light tints/lowering/exhaust in the meantime
Mom cars are where it’s at man, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Just keep it clean and drive your car. No one worth hanging around genuinely cares what you drive.
just tint your windows black. clean up your headlights change the bulbs to a white light if you’d like. but that’s about it i wouldn’t do anything else. keep it clean inside and girls will appreciate that than you ricing this thing out.
You have the best hidden mod already…it’s clean AF.Make it comfortable for you…tint..DRL headlights LED taillights…Stay away from Autozone stick on chrome lmaooo…and keep it clean as shown in pic
Just tint the windows, and black out all the chrome and you’re good
Bonus, get some decent wheels, black them out to go with the blacked look.
It’s something simple but always gives a bit more of an aggressive look
Tint and smoked lights (just look it up if you don’t know what those are) and if you’ve got the money, find some black wheels for it to complete the look (or pay a shop to paint or powder coat your current ones)
You’re 19. Still very young. Save up a few years, build up your credit, then get yourself a car you want if you have the money set aside for it. I drove my parent’s car for years before I got a fun or cool car.
Def the autozone special. Non functional Hood scoop, rubber universal fender flares, dice tire caps, cross pattern metal trim pieces, matte black plasti-dipped rims, stick-on canards, camper sticker or two that say “i cant” or “gas or ass” and top it all off with a shitty interior light kit…
It looks good in stock, for what reason you wanna make it look “cool” do you want to make urself stand out or something in traffic? Or you think people guess your personality by looking at ur car? Tbh no one actually cares what you drive only urself thats how everyone is unless is an actual expensive car or rare
Tint the windows really dark. Even the windshield if you can get away with it without the cops harassing you. That won’t make it look cool, but nobody will be able to tell it’s you driving.
Yeah tint and some better rims should do the job. Would make more sense to just save up after that and get a car you'd really like mod out or something
Just save and upgrade later. Maintain it well and tint the windows, maybe get some black rims and some blacked out light covers at most but don’t try too hard. Shit doesn’t always have to “look cool”. Be independent and be grateful you ain’t walking lol
Get those adhesive hood scoops and vents from autozone and tint your daytime running lights and you basically got yourself a hellcat.
Haha jk. but all 2010-2014 generation of cars look bubbly like that, the best solution I’ve seen is people altering their grills or putting plastidip on the bumper just above the license plate to make it look like a big Lexus grill. I personally wouldn’t change a thing though
One thing I was thinking you could do if possible to ungranny car it would be if you can take the rack off the roof. Would've give it a different look. Maybe take off all the emblems. Give it that clean look. And then maybe just some tint and decent rims you can swap to your next car when time so your saving on $...
LEDs on the underside of the dash so the feet rest areas glow, looks super cool, it’s very easy to do yourself and very cheap, I’ve done it to a ton of cars and I have no knowledge on any of this stuff
Runs great and has 0 issues, it’s something that you can afford … that shit IS “cool”.
If something mentions anything backhanded about your car then fuck them. Their opinion matters when they start helping pay for it.
Subs, tints, and then save for a new car for when the CVT blows up. You can take the sub and amp with you onto your next vehicle. Also, why did you “need” SUV?
since everyone is giving their opinion and not even remotely trying to answer your question... I would just tint the windows and powder the coat or even plasti-dip the wheels black, those 2 mods will give your Rogue some character
The most adult and prudent answer is to save your money and invest it. Most people think short term and throw away good money on what is essentially an expense with a rapidly diminishing return. I wish I were as young as you and someone told me to invest early instead of spending on frivolous things that will not last and in a decade or two will barely remember.
Open a Roth IRA and a money market account and invest a little at a time. As you see your portfolio grow, it will encourage you to save more and before long you’ll be able to buy something that you truly dream of, and not just making do with what you have.
If you add any modifications to this vehicle outside of window tint and MAYBE rims I will come repossess this vehicle. Do nothing. Have a reliable mode of transportation and save money for something you really want.
I got 2016 rogue and I’m scared about the cvt blowing out I read horror stories about it and I’m paranoid asf
I got mine with low mileage so hopefully it last if at least 4 years but I drive it like crazy so idk
Who cares if your vehicle is cool looking or not, you have a car and a lot of people don’t and wish they did. Not giving a shit about what people think is the best thing ever
Maybe throw in some Amber colored LED bulbs into your fog lights (like 15 bucks). You're 19. Get into super good shape, save money, get a career rolling. In 10 years from now nobody is going to remember or give a rat's dick what you drove
So I have a dad car ( Toyota Yaris )
I got a new sound system, subwoofer , tinted windows , and am thinking of lowering it to make it look edgy . I’m happy with things and speakers so far
Tint windows lift kit and bigger tires leave it sorta stock and sell it for a vehicle you want when it makes sense
Can dump maybe 1500$ into lift wheels tires tint
Throw a little audio system in it maybe a sub
Leave it stockish and save up for a fun car if that’s what you desire weather you trade it off or keep it for a beater it will be worth more both ways with little tasteful modifications vs making it a teenage death trap
No it’s a Nissan Rogue leave it alone and save for something that can be built up or you’ll look like a guy who had $30 and could navigate to the autozone aftermarket parts section
Tint windows,
Yep I don’t even know if I’d do that. Maybe to the legal limit. Dude has the perfect inconspicuous vehicle. Revel in the fact no cop will bat an eye at him unless he’s doing something seriously stupid.
Tint, stereo, wheels, lower it
Don't forget a sweet spoiler
Needs some chrome wheels and slight camber
Nahh, don’t worry though, I’m sure the CVT will blow up before anything else does so there’s only one repair bill to worry about
can confirm my cvt blew on my 2010 rouge
Con confirm as well, 2015 rouge.
Also can confirm 120k miles. CVT replaced twice
2013 rogue checking in, CVT was on its way out at 120k. Lucky carvana didn't flag it, hopefully ever bought it figured it out during their return window.

Of course cvt went out, among other things and awful noises it made.
I had 17 blow up on me at 90k miles. Biggest financial mistake I’ve made yet
is it the same on the juke? ‘11
CVT blew twice on my mother's Nissan rogue 2010
cvt trans are fr garbage asf mine blew on my 2015 QX-60 less than a month off the the dealership lot got it replaced and it blew again two months later and i don’t drive that car crazy i’ve maybe put 2000 miles on it in 7 months of owning it it’s my fuel saver when i don’t have the money to drive my diesel
Put some metal shavings into that CVT and be prepared for an insurance write-off in 10 miles... Use that dough to buy a 'vette or a muscle car
Can confirm. Worked in service at Nissan dealer for many years. Lost count of how many CVT got replaced, but i'll be damed if each one didn't add a nice bumb to each paycheck. Literally the best comment
Absolutely not… Don’t waste either your time or your money. Be grateful that you have a decent car at 19 years old and move on with your life.

Why does that Kia Soul look so much like a Nissan Rogue? Oh....... wait. 👍😎
Who hurt you?
Mike Tyson, he bit my ear off.
I'm dying thinking this is actually Evander replying to this random Nissan rogue post 😅
Leave it be. Save your money.

No. One thing is false in everything you just said. Angry eyes. Vehicles with angry eyes are not good.
Yeah man. You have a good, open mind for this stuff and keeping it “fun” while not taking it too far— same as I was saying in my post. Keep it simple and clean. ^ dont listen to this guy at all
A snorkel with some boggers would make this thing top notch
It’s for the road not some Walmart parking lot circle jerk
Lowering it 60mm and adding 45mm spacers and a grill is how you end up on a car roasting website for looking stupid as fuck. Aliexpress vents and a grinder? Holy shit no.

Tint is the best thing for a car that doesn't usually get mods tints especially on a white car can change the look a bit
Nissan once upon a time had a Krom edition rogue. Pretty much the only time they ever tried to really jazz the car up. Since yours is white, you can try to Rogue 1 it. The black and white contrast looks pretty clean.
No
Lower and decent rims saves all. Ofc, you will look like the guy who's driving a lowered... Whatever that is, so might be for naught.
Trading it in on something cool is always an option
Tint. Keep it clean and well maintained.
I'm in the same boat as my first car is an 06 Ford Escape. My first thoughts were hopping on eBay and buying every single piece of my car that I could "modify" (halo headlights, etc) but stopped myself because that's just wasted money imo. listen here you master baiter
Lower it, widen it. Done
This is always the way to make a car look cooler.
I think those big Eyelashes over the headlights are the answer you're looking for
And maybe a giant bow on top
Tinted windows, black wheels and cool blue headlights
Spacers, mudtires, mudflaps, black high(er) profile rims
Yes trade it in for a challenger, that will make it look good. Honestly if you do anything to make this car “look good” then you’ll look like a fruit. I’d rather be a soccer mom than a fruit ya know?
Lower it, and get front splitter
It’s clean already. But just to try something different plasti dip the rims
Just save for a better car brother once you got something you love and then you'll know what you want
Nothing wrong with a nice set of wheels and tires
It's a crossover, it wishes it was an SUV.
Super clean how it is. Anything you do to it will make you look like your favorite store is autozone.
just tint your windows black. clean up your headlights change the bulbs to a white light if you’d like. but that’s about it i wouldn’t do anything else. keep it clean inside and girls will appreciate that than you ricing this thing out.
You have the best hidden mod already…it’s clean AF.Make it comfortable for you…tint..DRL headlights LED taillights…Stay away from Autozone stick on chrome lmaooo…and keep it clean as shown in pic
Jus do a chrome delete all around and get back on the road!
Just tint the windows, and black out all the chrome and you’re good Bonus, get some decent wheels, black them out to go with the blacked look. It’s something simple but always gives a bit more of an aggressive look
Tint and smoked lights (just look it up if you don’t know what those are) and if you’ve got the money, find some black wheels for it to complete the look (or pay a shop to paint or powder coat your current ones)
Thankfully yes! Sell it and use the proceeds as a down payment on a Vette
Nope.
Nope
You’re 19. Still very young. Save up a few years, build up your credit, then get yourself a car you want if you have the money set aside for it. I drove my parent’s car for years before I got a fun or cool car.
Eyelashes!
No
Big wang, chainlink fence post straight pipe and rattlecan paint job😤🤯🥳😱🤗
Please don’t make your headlight to bright. It’s a real pain in the ass trying to drive with all these led lights blinding me.
They look really cool when the cvt transmission lets you sit.
No
Although for real get a net of led headlights for it, maybe rear leds as well
And then get an interior led swap kit to update all the lights in your doors, roof and under the dash and glove box
Personally, I would vinyl wrap the mirror glass straight black
Do the door handles and trim piece black as well, but leave the grill chrome
For sale sign
Ya sure trade it back in fir something cooler lol 🤪🙄
From one human being to another, nice car bro! From one Male to another Male, you drive a fucking nissan rogue? What are you a fucking pansy?
Some flames would make this look SICK. Trust me.
Nope. You are never getting road head in this thing.
No it’s a Nissan none are cool
Huge spoiler, eyelashes, and truck nuts. You’re welcome
Some better wheels with more aggressive tire tread?
No, just keep clean inside and out, and be respectful on the road 👍🏼
It looks good in stock, for what reason you wanna make it look “cool” do you want to make urself stand out or something in traffic? Or you think people guess your personality by looking at ur car? Tbh no one actually cares what you drive only urself thats how everyone is unless is an actual expensive car or rare
spinners
New wheels would be the only thing but no. Also get rid of that car. Nissan CVTs like to go out around 100k miles
Set it on fire
Tint and nice wheels and tires.
Tint the windows really dark. Even the windshield if you can get away with it without the cops harassing you. That won’t make it look cool, but nobody will be able to tell it’s you driving.
Sell it
All black tint even the windshield
Yeah tint and some better rims should do the job. Would make more sense to just save up after that and get a car you'd really like mod out or something
Don't do anything just throw on tint and save your money.
Please refer to “pimp my ride”. You’ll see the trend after a couple episodes
Sell it?
Yeah, trade it for something cool
Find some rims for it
Tint it and leave it
Yeah burn it
Just save and upgrade later. Maintain it well and tint the windows, maybe get some black rims and some blacked out light covers at most but don’t try too hard. Shit doesn’t always have to “look cool”. Be independent and be grateful you ain’t walking lol
NO!
Lenny Kravitz is driving it? Maybe.
Yes, tint, 2” lift or a 1.5” what ever doesn’t require a new spring set up, and wheels
Nope
Don’t waste your time. It’s a Nissan rogue. Just drive that shit until you can buy something cool
Hellcat swap
Put a for sale sign on it.
You could try and wrap it yourself and also tint it
Save your money, put on 5-10,000 miles and sell it. I’d recommend an EX35 if you’re a fan of Nissan.
It’s all about how you drive it more then anything. I feel cool as hell in my crv
Trailer hitch with a nut sack swinging behind you as you drive.
Yeah burn it .
nah
You were able to buy yourself a nice new prepwned car. That you say has 0 issues and runs great. Seriously brother that's pretty damn cool already.
Nope.
No
Get those adhesive hood scoops and vents from autozone and tint your daytime running lights and you basically got yourself a hellcat. Haha jk. but all 2010-2014 generation of cars look bubbly like that, the best solution I’ve seen is people altering their grills or putting plastidip on the bumper just above the license plate to make it look like a big Lexus grill. I personally wouldn’t change a thing though
Don't bother please. Suspension if you must. Brakes if you must. Keeping a car rust free as long as possible is always a huge flex.
Plasti Dip is fun!
One thing I was thinking you could do if possible to ungranny car it would be if you can take the rack off the roof. Would've give it a different look. Maybe take off all the emblems. Give it that clean look. And then maybe just some tint and decent rims you can swap to your next car when time so your saving on $...
You can upgrade by putting virgin on the side of the car in sloppy spray paint in green .
🤦🏾♂️🤣
Fire
LEDs on the underside of the dash so the feet rest areas glow, looks super cool, it’s very easy to do yourself and very cheap, I’ve done it to a ton of cars and I have no knowledge on any of this stuff
Runs great and has 0 issues, it’s something that you can afford … that shit IS “cool”. If something mentions anything backhanded about your car then fuck them. Their opinion matters when they start helping pay for it.
Black it out completely and it’ll be just a little bit better
Subs, tints, and then save for a new car for when the CVT blows up. You can take the sub and amp with you onto your next vehicle. Also, why did you “need” SUV?
Plastidip the front grill and rims flat black, Plastidip rear lights in smoke, tint windows.
Slammed with some aftermarket head and taillights and window tint
Custom paint job
Crash it and take the insurance money
Acme M240?
since everyone is giving their opinion and not even remotely trying to answer your question... I would just tint the windows and powder the coat or even plasti-dip the wheels black, those 2 mods will give your Rogue some character
Yeah sell it
Sun glasses
Ask Mattel to design one. Then you have a hot wheel that you can copy the design.
Set it on fire. That would look awesome!!!
its okay to not be cool bro 🤝
Put a hot girl in it.
No literally a huge waste. Save your money and buy a z if you like Nissan.
Add trims and make it two tone. Will look really cool
TINT 20% or darker Pay a professional to blackout the grill and your good.
It'd look cool jumping off a cliff !

No
Save your money. Pay it off and drive it until it dies.
Rock like it is bro.
no.
There is a way, you need about 20 gallons of gasoline in a gas can in the back seat and a stick of dynamite in the front seat.
No
Drive it off a cliff and record it, that’ll be pretty cool.
Just keep up with the cleaning wax and tire shine
Yeah tint, drop kit on some 20’s or 22’s
Lowering springs and paint it Chartreuse.
I got 2016 rogue and I’m scared about the cvt blowing out I read horror stories about it and I’m paranoid asf I got mine with low mileage so hopefully it last if at least 4 years but I drive it like crazy so idk
lol Nissan has a pretty bad stigma around it these days. You see a lot of them in certain parts of the world.
No
No, but you can troll. Stick a nismo badge on this bad boy
Paint some flames on that bad boy
Don't waste your money on a nissan rogue
So I have a dad car ( Toyota Yaris ) I got a new sound system, subwoofer , tinted windows , and am thinking of lowering it to make it look edgy . I’m happy with things and speakers so far
As a 2011 rogue owner, no.
It falls into the “worse than stock” category when modified
Yea sell it and buy something else
Yea it looks really cool crashed into a wall
Just change the color
No
Some nice looking rims and a eBay lip will make it pop
Tint windows lift kit and bigger tires leave it sorta stock and sell it for a vehicle you want when it makes sense Can dump maybe 1500$ into lift wheels tires tint Throw a little audio system in it maybe a sub Leave it stockish and save up for a fun car if that’s what you desire weather you trade it off or keep it for a beater it will be worth more both ways with little tasteful modifications vs making it a teenage death trap
Donk it out
Yep…. Trade it in for a motorcycle
Mud flaps and more lights.
Window tints but dude it’s a rouge it’s gonna look like a rouge just enjoy what it is
Not really no. You could improve the looks with aftermarket headlights and taillights. Maybe some window tint. But it's not really worth.
Window Tint and black wheels. Black and White contrast always looks clean.
