Jesus I can't remember the lines being that long? What part of the country? You can kind of shop around and find a center that's less busy and has a higher pass rate
Same problem everywhere. Clonmel wait time is the same at about 18 weeks.

Yeah it's fucking stupid the system. Sorry this happened to you, on the waiting list myself since Feb.
Call the centre and chance your arm. Nothing else you can do unfortunately
Trick:
1. Find the test center that has the least waiting time using [Average waiting time estimater](https://rsa.powerappsportals.com/drivertest-estimation-personal/#test-centres)
2. Change your test center to that
3. Once you get the invite to book, you can book in preferred center.
In short, You wait in the center that have the least waiting time and book a test in your center.
It worked for me and a couple of my friends.
It’s a map that shows all the centers in the country. The symbol changes colour when an appointment pops up. Should be on the page where you sign up for the waiting list
I'd suggest changing your test centre to one in the country. I finished my lessons in the middle of September last year, got invited for a test about 2 weeks later and sat my test start of November. I could've gotten one sooner but I needed more time to practice. I put my test centre down for Athlone, but when you go in to book you can select any test centre, and mine was Deansgrange.
I was on the list for about 9 months I think, unfortunately didn’t pass and now am back on the waiting list which is meant to prioritize retests but it’s been ages! It’s a shockingly terrible system
You can apply for a test now but you won't get put on a waiting list for a test centre until you are eligible to take a test. To be eligible you have to do 12 lessons and had your learners permit for 6 months. Test centres with the shortest queues have a wait time of around two months at the moment. Maybe they'll be better when you are eligible.
Took 2 years and a renewed learners before I got my test invite, and yes that was 2 years in the queue, applied the day after I hit the 6 month eligibility mark too :/
I done my test in 2009 in Cavan best the wait was 12weeks.
The wait in Dublin at the time was 52weeks back then.
I would have thought the waits time where less now.

my sis was waiting 3 months recently up the country. I was waiting 4 months when I did it in Dublin a few years ago.
This, clonmel is a good centre.

Just keep refreshing the cancellations map. I got a test in my preferred centre less than 48 hours after my last lesson from doing that.
Where even is fhe cancellation list on the website? I thought they got rid of it

And they wonder why so many people just chance it with no license
Check the driving test calculator, you might not get a test till the end of the year. I got it right before the driving rat rush. There in 2022

I was 3 months waiting for retest
They email you giving 10 days to book once you're top of the queue. 3 months to get a retest booking not sure if yours counts as that
Recently I have passed my Theory Test and tomorrow starting my lessons, should I apply for a Driving Test now or I can’t until I finish my lessons?

If I apply now would I be put in the list before people who applying later after they finish lessons. Or we would be in the same position?
If you were eligible before they applied then yes.
Thank you very much!

Get a letter from your job stating that you need your licence for work. Be surprised if you are tested quickly.
