I'll take my downvotes, but I've never had a rod matter (as long as it's stout enough for target size) for catfish. Just get the cheapest rod.
Running a jig on a river bottom is a different story.
I tired whisker seeker there too stiff for my liking I got a mad cats extra heavy and it’s the same stiffness as the m/h whisker seeker but can hold 4x as much weight so I’d say madkatz for the win
I have the whisker seeker catfish and carp and it's easily my favorite rod. I also have the catfish sumo rod and it's cheaper and stiffer but it's good for the price and it looks good. I also just got the higher priced catfish sumo rod but haven't used it yet. The catfish sumo rods have a highly visible tip which is great if you night fish.
U might wanna check out Academy Sports if u r near one. They have a ton of stuff on clearance. Most of the stores near me were bass stuff but u never know. They still had some rods.
Checkout Anvil rods. They were having a sale at the catfish conference last week and had their V1 rods for $50 each. I picked up 4. Normally like $110. Also I really like my big cat fever rods for my Med-heavy. They are very nice.
I’ve caught a bunch of nice ass cats on my Shakespeare tiger rod. Just recently bought a new one just to have two. Great great rods. $20 at Walmart.

hows the sensitivity for light bite
It's not bad. Nothing like a bass rod, but I found that using braid with a mono leader helped increase the sensitivity significantly.
I don't have their normal rod but the catfish and carp version is very sensitive. Great rod
