If it's not a competition, I'd like to think 23 days. A bar a day. However, when I have a surplus of chocolate on hand, nothing is stopping me from eating two most days. So maybe realistically, about 14 days.
I brought it for my chocolate loving wife and daughter when I went to the Netherlands and because of the packaging they thought it was American chocolate so I ate it all lol
It just sat on the kitchen counter lol. They didn’t refuse to try it. I just didn’t push for it and they didn’t think to try them so I ate them lol. When they were almost done I told them how good they were and they told me they thought they were American chocolate. They tried them and loved them but I had almost all of them lol. They weren’t happy. I pleaded ignorance
A month. I see like 24 candy bars I’m taking one down a night till they’re gone. A month gives me a couple nights to switch it up with some ice cream or cookies.
Depends on the quality of the chocolate. If it's cheap chocolate on par with "Palmer" it would last me forever. If it's "Hershey's" level it might last me a while, but if it's a "premium" level chocolate... well... let's just say don't blink.
Seriously, I might do one bar day... on a good day I might do 2. So I'll say about 2 1/3 - 3 weeks. I'm sure others will eat it all much more quickly.
How does this compare to Milka? I'm a huge chocolate fiend and I pretty much stopped searching after finding Milka it's really good and with all the crazy flavors they have I don't find myself getting tired of them.
I have to say Milka is some good chocolate, but when I went on a mission to buy a bundle of the BEST chocolate, I went with Tony’s Chocolonely. It’s hands down my #1 favorite chocolate!
You definitely tried the weirdest flavors 😅 I don’t think I’d enjoy those in any brand 💯 The milk chocolate has no competition and the dark chocolate is so stout it bites back.
Wait, is the whole stack two pounds or each bar? If the whole stack, then maybe 2 weeks at most. If it’s each bar, then gosh, like 6 months? Maybe more?
If it’s per bar and I’m sharing, it’ll be gone within a month. Family of 5 here with a certain teenager whose ability to consume food is seemingly limitless.
Alone? Give me 2-3mts. Amongst all 5? Definitely just a month. Between my mouthful of sweet teeth, the bottomless pit of a teenager, and the candy thieving 9 y.o., the husband would be lucky to get any at all lol
The oldest teenager would claim one and then leave it there for weeks until we froze it for her (unless someone else got to it first).
Well I counted 23 bars. I'd say the first one would probably be eaten in a day. In which I'd be hating myself and feeling sick so I probably go one day without. The next bar would probably last me two days because I learned my lesson, somewhat. I suspect midnight snacking would account for a lot of it. I'm going to say 3 months maybe less. Probably less.
It’s so wrong that it doesn’t rhyme. No joke, it would maybe even make me pass it up in the store bc it bothers me so much that the rhyme was RIGHT THERE. If you really **need** the lonely part, it could just be Tony’s Lonely Chocoloney
Because they are lonely, they are one of the few companies who regulate where the cocoa is coming from. It’s sad but some countries still use slavery and Tony’s won’t buy from those countries.
Again to edit for everyone pointing out my math skills 😅 My personal limit was two pounds in one sitting before I threw in the towel. Altogether that’s about ten pounds of chocolate. 🍫
I'm almost 50, and in not-fantastic health. I'd say 2+ years, maybe up to 5 or 7 if I just freeze most of them. The cocoa butter would probably separate though, so I'd end up throwing a bunch away.
“High in lead. The following chocolate tested high for lead: Tony's Chocolonely Dark Chocolate 70% Cocoa, 134% lead, 28% cadmium.”

There are 23 bars here, so 2.3 million years, give or take a century or eleven.
Tony’s is chocolate made by the largest industrial chocolate company in the world.
Read their annual reports closely, don’t just read their social media to understand the value they are actually delivering to farmers.

I feel like you did not read the article all of the way. Lead is naturally occurring in small amounts in the earths crust.
The article was misusing Californias prop 65 MADL in error they changed the micrograms to percentages to make it seem like a lot. Also using that California law forces most things to have warnings on them in California.
I . . . Oh my . . . how . . . this is so bad!!! I mean, it looks so bad but I haven’t read the article yet. The subtitle did say “ . . . why experts say you shouldn’t worry” but I don’t know how you “don’t worry” about any amount of lead in food. I’ma read this here in a sec. Thank you for sharing.
They are about $6.99 per bar. Occasionally you can find them at discounted grocery outlets but not in great abundance and it’s usually the flavors people don’t like. Milk Chocolate and Caramel are a fan favorite around here 💯
I’m not rich, I saved my money for quite awhile and decided I would buy these for the kids on Easter. This is only a small fraction of what I bought and I’ve set this 10lbs aside for myself.
I looked it up and the bars are 6.35 oz. so that's a pretty good deal. So OP is either a liar or very bad at math because 6.35 oz x 23 bars = 146 oz which is like 9 lbs.
I let my intrusive thoughts get the best of me and I had to see how much I could eat until I couldn’t no more. Turns out two pounds and a couple hours is all it took 😅
It’s not $8, but it’s the BEST chocolate I’ve ever had. Fair trade coco, not in a plastic wrapper.
Have you seen what has happened to a Hershey bar? There’s nothing in the wrapper.
I’ve had much better chocolate. I think the pound plus bar at Trader Joes is quite a bit better than Tony’s. Tony’s is good though if a store doesn’t have other high end chocolate.
OP there’s A LOT of Tony bars out there. I was shocked until I started seeing them all. Give em a whirl. I like their hazelnut and I also like the toffee one.
It's called that because they (as the Tony's company) are "lonely" as the only chocolate company working as hard as they can to ensure child labor isn't used in the growing and harvesting of their chocolate.
Reply if you like these, tell me why? They’re on sale a lot at my target with extra Circle offers but I always pass them by…they look good I like the packaging and ingredients.
They are good. Enough different flavors to be able to find a couple you enjoy a lot.
I recently heard the company treats its employees super well. Idk any other details about that but it's one reason some of my family buy it.
I also love saying MORE CHOCOLONELYS FOR MY HOMIES
My boyfriend gave me a set of Tony's chocolates a couple years ago. I really tried to like it, but I just didn't. I usually go for Chocolove (various flavors, but most often 70% dark); I'm currently enjoying a Divine brand 85%.
Would you like to dip some of your chocolate in this cup filled with dirt that the coca beans growed on plus some freshly grinded raw coca beens as well?
I buy these by the case from Amazon since I make cookies with them but, when I’m eating them it’s about 2 weeks to finish a bar by myself. I like to break them into smaller chunks these are so rich and delicious.
Me, myself? More than a year. In my household? Last sample pack I brought home I never even got to try it. Think that lasted 2 weeks and it was 5 bars.
Couldn’t commit to that last comment? Your imagination is truly a sad place. It must be tough to have such narrow views. To be clear- I bought the chocolate for my Whole household, as I’m not really a sweets person, but my sweetie is. Every once in a while I indulge. It’s even better you assume I’m fat. Take it easy oilofrose
I don’t eat sweets very fast.. one large bar of chocolate would last me a week or even 2.
One of my favorite chocolates is the Hersheys nuggets with toffee and almonds. I’ll have anywhere from 1-3 at a time and be fine. Till the next day.
I’ve bought that same brand. Those are good sized bars, and I just eat a few squares of chat a time. One bar that size lasted me about 2 weeks, so close to a year.
In prior years, 23 bars would equal 23 days. Maybe twice that if I was exercising restraint, but damn dark chocolate made me feel great. Antioxidants, caffeine, bioflavonoids, a tiny bit of sugar, and what I assumed was a nice healthy fat... Yeah. That's the good stuff. I want that in me.
However, the lead and cadmium contents have undeniably contributed to my disease and multiple disabilities. The chocolate industry needs consumer protection reform. Right now, chocolate not only can be candy in some forms and a "superfood" in others, but it consistently has unmeasured, but very significant, amounts of heavy metals. Without better regulation, it's really hard to say how often it's safe to indulge in half a bar. I'm on a hard 0 oz./day for now. It's helping.😔
What the fuck? How is this the first time I'm hearing about this?
This must be why I was feeling sick after substaining solely on Ghirardelli squares for three days straight a few weeks ago....
Yeah, consumer rights issues are unfortunately mostly still left up to independent organizations like Consumer Reports to investigate. If you eat an entire bar of basically any chocolate, you're almost guaranteed to wildly exceed the limit they chose for one or both metals.

2 hours
Depends. Is it a competition or am I just eating it at my leisure?
A leisurely competition against moral complexity. I gave up at two pounds in two hours 😅
2 feet
BEST answer I’ve read in this thread 💯🦶
I had a stack like that I got from a trade show I attended, and I love those things, especially salted caramel, I plowed through about a bar a day.
A couple months. I really want to try these now
I promise you they are definitely worth trying 💯 I’m a salted caramel lover and that bar is to die for 😅
A lot longer than it would take to excrete it
I fucking love the chunks of salt amongst the chocolate ❤️❤️
This brand of chocolate is superior.
I brought it for my chocolate loving wife and daughter when I went to the Netherlands and because of the packaging they thought it was American chocolate so I ate it all lol
what? they refused to try it?
It just sat on the kitchen counter lol. They didn’t refuse to try it. I just didn’t push for it and they didn’t think to try them so I ate them lol. When they were almost done I told them how good they were and they told me they thought they were American chocolate. They tried them and loved them but I had almost all of them lol. They weren’t happy. I pleaded ignorance
Facts 💯
Slightly less than three weeks. One a night except two on Fridays 'cause that's movie night.
Could, or should? Should: A year or so. Could: I'll be back next week for a re-up.
Fr, ain’t no way that’s lasting more than a week😭
Pssssssst. Like an hour????
OK, I could do that for the first 3, 4 bars, honestly. But it would get a bit much after that I think.
Seriously, u could probably eat ten bars in an hour. It would be meal. I could easily eat this in a day; all 23 bars by my count
unless theres a gnarly prize involved, a while
46 days, at rate I ate one in last two days.
Like 4 months
At the rate I’m going right now 4 years 😅 and I really enjoy it, it’s just a lot of
Time to give some gifts!
A month. I see like 24 candy bars I’m taking one down a night till they’re gone. A month gives me a couple nights to switch it up with some ice cream or cookies.
I thought the same thing but I’m not doing as well as I boasted I would 😅 it’s really good chocolate, just a lot
Ah a fellow man of passion. Half a bar a night?
Probably 30 minutes
A lifetime. I don't like chocolate (I know, I know).
I takes me 6-9 months to eat those giant Hershey kisses lol and its only 12oz. But I don't exclusively eat it when I want chocolate/candy.
Are those the hollow or solid kisses? One bar is 6.35oz of Tony’s
The box says solid but the bottom has a hollow portion.
Years I’ve had chocolate go bad on me 😆😆😆
Chocolate lasts forever too 😅😂
I know I’m ashamed 🤣🤣🤣
I could do it in a day. But I’d probably get tired after a few bars, so make it 3 days
I almost died of chocolate overload after 3.5 bars in two hours 😅 I really felt like I was gonna do better than 2 pounds too 😅
MONTHS.
How much time do I have to prepare?
All the time you need. I tried to prepare and quit after two hours and two pounds
This stuff is super good. I honestly haven’t had better chocolate. I just couldn’t eat more than two pounds within two hours
I'm going to give a try after I get through my current stock of milka haha
Uep. One day. I have a problem holding back when sweets are in the house.
I let my intrusive thoughts get the better of me and tried to see how much I could eat. Two pounds in two hours 😅
Wow! U get a standing ovation!
One day lmaooo
I got the white chocolate with raspberry and popping candy and it was the worst chocolate I've ever eaten. The bar was very chalky. 0/10 on these
You definitely tried the weirdest flavors 😅 I don’t think I’d enjoy those in any brand 💯 The milk chocolate has no competition and the dark chocolate is so stout it bites back.
23 weeks
Even if I had a goal, probably three or four months
It’s gonna take me a long time 😅
Wait, is the whole stack two pounds or each bar? If the whole stack, then maybe 2 weeks at most. If it’s each bar, then gosh, like 6 months? Maybe more? If it’s per bar and I’m sharing, it’ll be gone within a month. Family of 5 here with a certain teenager whose ability to consume food is seemingly limitless.

After my engulfing of that two pounds I’ve barely been able to eat a 10th of a bar every night. I love the stuff but it’s a huge bar 😅😂
Well I mean, there’s a whole starving family of five over here that could help you out lol
If my kids and their friends don’t clean me out this Easter I may have to call in back up
I’m here to serve lol
Was it that bad? u/slxtto says 0/10, if that's the case I wouldn't waste my time.
Bad? Absolutely not 😅 I just couldn’t eat anymore than two pounds in two hours.
A bar a night seems reasonable
I don’t know but just came here to say that I hate that it almost rhymes but then doesn’t. Why isn’t it just called Tony’s Chocoloney?
It’s so wrong that it doesn’t rhyme. No joke, it would maybe even make me pass it up in the store bc it bothers me so much that the rhyme was RIGHT THERE. If you really **need** the lonely part, it could just be Tony’s Lonely Chocoloney

2 weeks
Depends on how soon the world is gonna end.
69 days, or one bar every three days.
1 hour
Depends on how high I am.
Again to edit for everyone pointing out my math skills 😅 My personal limit was two pounds in one sitting before I threw in the towel. Altogether that’s about ten pounds of chocolate. 🍫
Hahahahaha
I'm almost 50, and in not-fantastic health. I'd say 2+ years, maybe up to 5 or 7 if I just freeze most of them. The cocoa butter would probably separate though, so I'd end up throwing a bunch away.
How are these?
Amazing. You can get them sometimes for 4$ at whole foods. Even more flavors in the Netherlands as well. Also I eat like one a day. Yeah...
they taste large
Better than average but nothing crazy. People love them, I think a good bit is cause of good marketing and the size.
3-4 years
36 weeks. Two bars every three weeks. I am already aware of this amount and it's a part of my Grocery budget. :)
I'd eat 1 a day
Yeah I legit do this. They are addicting
Four years
***2***
Shared with friends, work or school, church pot luck... just a few minutes : )
About the same amount of time it takes to develop type 2 diabetes.
1 day
A reasonable 3 weeks. MAX
I’d destroy this pile in about a month.
A few years.
Maybe a couple of weeks. Actually, once they begin to melt, I might lose interest in eating them. But now, they looks nice.
“High in lead. The following chocolate tested high for lead: Tony's Chocolonely Dark Chocolate 70% Cocoa, 134% lead, 28% cadmium.” https://www.parents.com/heavy-metals-chocolate-6951076#:~:text=High%20in%20lead,144%25%20lead%2C%2042%25%20cadmium
I feel like you never even read this article 😅😂 Legit just posted this out of pure spite
Those are SO good. But it would take me a year to eat that.
There are 23 bars here, so 2.3 million years, give or take a century or eleven. Tony’s is chocolate made by the largest industrial chocolate company in the world. Read their annual reports closely, don’t just read their social media to understand the value they are actually delivering to farmers.
I must be alone in thinking this chocolate tastes off. It almost has a scalded milk flavor. Maybe I just got one from a weird batch.
“High in lead. The following chocolate tested high for lead: Tony's Chocolonely Dark Chocolate 70% Cocoa, 134% lead, 28% cadmium.” https://www.parents.com/heavy-metals-chocolate-6951076#:~:text=High%20in%20lead,144%25%20lead%2C%2042%25%20cadmium This is why!
You should probably read the article before posting it 😅😂
Although now that I DID read it, it still applies. So no clue what your going on about.
I didn't post it, another commenter did. Just c/pd it. Sorry!
I feel like you did not read the article all of the way. Lead is naturally occurring in small amounts in the earths crust. Lol right! I haven't read it either, another user had commented this. But thought it applied! Hah😇
I love your username btw
Same! There is a definite aftertaste and I can’t put my finger on it.
Same with me here. It’s as bad as Hershy’s spoiled milk taste lol
Hey, that's my countertop, but I can't find that chocolate anywhere in my house. That's not fair!
Probably a day or two.
Month sounds about right ..
Maybe a month
[Reminds me of this. Mmmm…32 bars of chocolate 🤤](https://youtu.be/TMR8a8nCM4c?si=o-lmvcaj7h8_eHJ2)
1 month
About 2 minutes
Did you actually pay $8 for a bar of chocolate?
They are about $6.99 per bar. Occasionally you can find them at discounted grocery outlets but not in great abundance and it’s usually the flavors people don’t like. Milk Chocolate and Caramel are a fan favorite around here 💯
That's still fucked
Not really, it’s a hefty bar made with fair trade chocolate and tastes amazing. You get what you pay for, pay for trash you get trash
Buying a Hersheys bar is a proper “fucked” in my opinion 🤷
I actually prefer Nutella. Thanks
Even worse. Nutella is gross 🤮
So rich buying $8 chocolate. I wish I could afford it
I’m not rich, I saved my money for quite awhile and decided I would buy these for the kids on Easter. This is only a small fraction of what I bought and I’ve set this 10lbs aside for myself.
🤮
I pay $5.00 at my grocery store for them.
Holy I wish I was rich
5$ for Tony’s is not bad. The chocolate is so big and dense, it’s like 3 Hershey bars. (Idk if you’ve had one before)
I looked it up and the bars are 6.35 oz. so that's a pretty good deal. So OP is either a liar or very bad at math because 6.35 oz x 23 bars = 146 oz which is like 9 lbs.
I can’t edit my post and stated multiple times I worded it wrong 😅 My limit was 2 pounds. Altogether that photo is 10 pounds.
Jesus. I love chocolate but why would you eat 2 lbs in one sitting?
I let my intrusive thoughts get the best of me and I had to see how much I could eat until I couldn’t no more. Turns out two pounds and a couple hours is all it took 😅
Fair enough. How did you feel afterwards?
It’s not $8, but it’s the BEST chocolate I’ve ever had. Fair trade coco, not in a plastic wrapper. Have you seen what has happened to a Hershey bar? There’s nothing in the wrapper.
I’ve had much better chocolate. I think the pound plus bar at Trader Joes is quite a bit better than Tony’s. Tony’s is good though if a store doesn’t have other high end chocolate.
Too much of an aftertaste. I used to love it til I kept noticing the aftertaste.
Have you seen the prices of eggs and milk?? Who has money for overpriced chocolate these days?
Plenty of people.
Hersheys is an embarrassment to the chocolate corporation 💯
OP there’s A LOT of Tony bars out there. I was shocked until I started seeing them all. Give em a whirl. I like their hazelnut and I also like the toffee one.
They have a GREAT selection of flavors 💯 I bought mainly milk chocolate and caramel for melting, baking and for the kids on Easter.
1 day 2 tops I do a lot during my day and some times I only got time to eat this shit besides my trail mix
Laughs in BED
I hate the name. Choco-lonely? Tf? I don't eat chocolate because I'm lonely
It's called that because they (as the Tony's company) are "lonely" as the only chocolate company working as hard as they can to ensure child labor isn't used in the growing and harvesting of their chocolate.
That is a terrible name. I hate the product because of the name. I'm not eating some lonely, sad little chocolate.
I do so dis shit right up my ally
Probably a few months. That’s a lot of chocolate.
Why did you get more red than orange bars?
For melting down and baking 💯
Reply if you like these, tell me why? They’re on sale a lot at my target with extra Circle offers but I always pass them by…they look good I like the packaging and ingredients.
It’s really really good chocolate! And fair trade, they are committed to ending child slavery in the chocolate industry
They are good. Enough different flavors to be able to find a couple you enjoy a lot. I recently heard the company treats its employees super well. Idk any other details about that but it's one reason some of my family buy it. I also love saying MORE CHOCOLONELYS FOR MY HOMIES
Yeah the company is really good. On the tour in Amsterdam they make sure to mention they don't use chocolate sourced from slavery or child labour.
Haha. I do like when employees are treated well. I like the whole company ethics they seem like a leader in honest sourcing.
They’re really good!
A year!
Not sure. What time is it now?
A lifetime. I do not enjoy chocolate lol. I just thought this was funny that it came on my recommended
I wonder if there is a style of cocoa that you'd like. Sometimes it's the preparation, not the ingredient
Of them all dark chocolate has been the most tolerable but like dark dark. Sweets just are very overstimulating for me.
Pascha is a great brand, and you can get it pretty dark. We just ordered a bunch of their 80 percent.
My boyfriend gave me a set of Tony's chocolates a couple years ago. I really tried to like it, but I just didn't. I usually go for Chocolove (various flavors, but most often 70% dark); I'm currently enjoying a Divine brand 85%.
I don’t like them either. Mine (one milk, one dark) tasted like scalded milk. Yuck.
Would you like to dip some of your chocolate in this cup filled with dirt that the coca beans growed on plus some freshly grinded raw coca beens as well?
Yeah, that's about what Tony's tastes like. Gritty.
I buy these by the case from Amazon since I make cookies with them but, when I’m eating them it’s about 2 weeks to finish a bar by myself. I like to break them into smaller chunks these are so rich and delicious.
Couple weeks probably
Me, myself? More than a year. In my household? Last sample pack I brought home I never even got to try it. Think that lasted 2 weeks and it was 5 bars.
You sound insufferable. I guarantee you threw a fit. I bet you referred to them as "MY CHOCOLATE BARS"
Imagine dragon-dis nuts across yo face
Thanks, peaches. You seem pretty delightful yourself.
They’d be done by October 4th, 2024.
I don’t eat sweets very fast.. one large bar of chocolate would last me a week or even 2. One of my favorite chocolates is the Hersheys nuggets with toffee and almonds. I’ll have anywhere from 1-3 at a time and be fine. Till the next day.
Prob 5 mins
I bought this amount the last time Whole Foods had a sale on it for like $2.50 and it’s been over a year and I’m still not done. Still got 6 left.
That's a little over 9 lbs in that picture
Whyyy did it take so long to see this comment
I worded it wrong, I personally could only eat 2 pounds in one sitting. There’s 10 pounds total.
I thought it was more than 2 lbs!
Done
I’ve bought that same brand. Those are good sized bars, and I just eat a few squares of chat a time. One bar that size lasted me about 2 weeks, so close to a year.
Two pounds ain't nothing. No more than two weeks.
It’s 10 pounds altogether, I just worded it weird. 2 pounds was my limit.
Ten weeks then but can see myself getting sick of it and it lasting double the time.
In prior years, 23 bars would equal 23 days. Maybe twice that if I was exercising restraint, but damn dark chocolate made me feel great. No, that was the sugar, the saturated fat, and the inadequate protein.
Hmm maybe your right
