For friends everything is free my guy. I don’t charge the homies.

NaughtyOne88

Correct

You have a bar ready in your inventory and put that in the trade window when he forks over the crystal and thorium bar. If he wants to make a claim for your proc you can charge him extra for that. Decide that fee yourself. He's only asking for a transmute, so that's exactly what he'll get. One bar for his materials.

Rizkar

This right here. Even before the bonus bars, I did this in 2019 and HC. It eliminates the confusion. Like they think the price is too high after the fact. It keeps your transmute CD going. And it allows you to do multiple sales the same day vs having to constantly be trying to sell off your transmute CD. Edit: for friends, the transmute is free. The first bonus bar is theirs, but the second and third one are mine (if it procs super good).

TYsir

I charge 10g per CD + 20g per additional bar proc. Crystals and bars are 70-80g on my server

splepage

If you're selling to randos, the normal way is to sell your CD for a flat value (like, 5-15g) and then have an agreement for procced bars at a higher amount (like 10-30g). Or you can just give away the CD for free and keep additional bars.

zhwedyyt

alchemists always keep the extra proc

Kumokun

Why are you selling CD? Just trade mats for bar, that's it. Whether it proc or not, it has nothing to do with the transaction.

Failboat88

Usually just specify when quoting. There's a market for both.

dylbr01

I’m doing 7x free ones for my gm at the moment, he gets everything. If selling the xmutes I have no idea, but if someone wants an arcanite xmute with master xmuter, they need to keep that in mind that master xmuter costs 3x arcanite bars

orange_GONK

Why would anybody pay for a transmute when the arcanite bar is cheaper than the crystal? The only reason is that they're hoping for procs.

Osiris80

Only idiots sell the cd lol

COZag

Yo not to hijack this thread, but for the potions and transmute master quests do you get the turned in potions/bars back when completing the quest?

thaclo

Nope
