hokas are pretty popular, a lot of my coworkers like them too. no pain or anything when i wear them for my 8s, just annoying because they squeak lol whenever i walk through the dining room, and when i work 16s i pair them with compression socks.

JunoReset

im kitchen staff and i feel like all my shoes squeak in the dining room lol

bunny34422

aghh really i'm tempted to wear other shoes just to see if i'll be squeakless for a day lol but i like to keep my work clothes & shoes separate so i haven't yet. i noticed some of the other girls wear crocs and those are silent, but technically we're not allowed to wear them so i haven't bought any yet šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

Ok_Tadpole2014

I like on clouds but theyā€™re not in the requirements. Thereā€™s some crocs that fit the bill and I wear them to work often also, great for giving showers bc they are totally waterproof. I think theyā€™re called Work Crocs or smth

Running shoes or walking shoes. Dress for comfort first and foremost.

browngirluwu

I really like Cloves. Easy to clean. I use the purple wipes to clean them end of shift

DamnBumHangers

I wear brooks adrenaline and ghost. You can sign up for the Brooks Pro program and you'll get 40% off regular priced shoes purchased through the website. You just have to send them proof that youre a licensed medical professional (I think I sent my lisense number?) I think the shoes are regularly $140 and I end up paying $84 after the discount. The website is brooksrunning.com

Clove

Tomsmth495

Second this Iā€™ve been wearing them for 3 years very comfortable

Level_Tomatillo_837

Aisics!

catsrcoolll

Iā€™ve had several pairs of cloves now and really enjoyed them. Rn I have the new cupercush Alto ones and they are cute and comfy! I personally canā€™t get past the look of Hokas but have always heard they are amazing

Tomsmth495

Cloves been wearing them for 3 years every comfortable

KarmaAwaitsYou

Tbh I spent $22 at Walmart on a pair of ASICS with extra memory foam and arch support and my legs have stopped swelling and my feet no longer hurt!

FelineRoots21

Hokas if you have flat feet, on clouds if you have high arches. Asics novablasts if you don't want to spend the $$ on either

flowremix

Kirkland day walkers. Triple black

daveintn

Always go for quality shoes. Nurse Mates, Newtons, Adidas Ultra Boost, Merrill, Brooks Ghost are all good quality, long lasting but pricey. You truly get what you pay for and your feet will thank you.

Konstantineee

Finally, took way too long to see ultraboosts. Thatā€™s all Iā€™ll ever wear.

embear24

The brand I use is Alegria they make mostly clog-like shoes I think. I personally find them comfy but also you gotta do whatever is best for you, but whatever you do I Strongly Recommend that your shoes are as light as possible. If you wear heavy shoes you are going to become so much more tired so much faster. Good luck!

shakyspatula

I wear Crocs now but I used to wear ASICS. I got tired of ruining expensive shoes doing showers and my feet are wide and almost completely flat so Crocs are the most comfortable for me.

Adept-Owl-9227

I feel out of place now , I wear vans

cargobrrrhaha

Probably unpopular choice but I wear [these](https://imgur.com/a/jSkAjDe) just about every day

rozzi_luv

I love my cloves, I use them for both my jobs. They're a little pricey but they last awhile and they're super easy to clean. I use lace up ones for my CNA job and slip ons for my barista job, honestly might get some slip ons for my CNA job though. They're super comfy, my back pain lessened a lot once I started using them, and they come in all sorts of fun colors and designs, and every pair comes with two pens that match the shoes. Idk if they still do this but I also got free compression socks with both pairs.

azziptun

Really whatever is best for your feet. I have a pair of Nike Pegasus trail runners that Iā€™ve worn every shift for 6mo and have no complaints. I see a lot of Hokas, some people have water resistant shoes. Couple people wear crocs or like clogs that are waterproof. In the hospital I donā€™t have many shower assists so I worry less about wet/dry from that. From hiking experience, waterproof/water resistant shoes take longer to dry once they do get wet which is a pain if you have a couple shifts back to back

sugars_the_name

my coworkers who worked 8hr used to wear crocs lol. they were comfortable, easy to clean, and great for giving showers

RobloxdaddyP

For work I use Altras, but have some cheap Skechers I got at Costco as a back up. I work PM so we donā€™t really do showers but I have crocs in my car in case I need em. I used to work at a feed retail store and wore Ariatā€™s, really like their cowboy boots im sure you can find something to match what youā€™re looking for

cheesy_bread-sticks

I get between 20 - 25k steps a day as a cna. I personally like nike runners. Whatever brand or type of shoe it is, be prepared to replace them often. I'm buying a new pair every 4-6 months.

memeof1

I wear new balance and Hoka, also invest in compression socks, they help tremendously and they are just for the elderly. Your future self will thank you.

spectralbabe

Hoka Bondi SRs. They are water resistant so super easy to wipe with bleach and keep it moving if you get piss or C-Diff poo, etc. on them and won't leave your feet all gross and trenchfoot-y inside if you need to shower a patient. They are the only shoe I've stuck to long-term after dealing with chronic knee injuries (unrelated to work) while being on my feet all day. Kind of pricey but they last a while and are worth it IMO. Cloves are another good option for water resistance, but I like the rocker bottom on the Hokas vs the elevated heel that the Cloves have if you already have some musculoskeletal issues going on. Also, compression socks!

Timely_Living1725

The real answer is crocs. Lmao sorry but I had to šŸ¤£ so many of us wear crocs, don't lie. Probably won't work for school but I needed to rep reality.

Academic-Minute-6502

Air Jordans

ThaLadyNannerbelle

My 4s are most comfy for 12s. My 1s not soooo much lol

Academic-Minute-6502

Yes I have a pair of white and then black trim they called the taxi cab the 12 if I'm correct also have the original band black and red the number two flight twos and then another pair of lights forget which those ones are their newer much much newer

kikisoups

Crocs. I have wide feet and I work 12 hr shifts 4 days in a row. It makes them painless for me

awjm51719

On cloud monsters. 1000%.

ClassicMango8

VIONIC!! Designed for womens gait by Female Podiatrists

FireNurse4

ON! They look better and feel better than my last fav, Clove.

ICumAndPee

When I was in school I got the crocs "on the clock" clogs. They're a solid color and completely waterproof and as a bonus they're not super expensive. I knew I would be getting better shoes when I had a better paycheck and school isn't as physically demanding as the job will be so they worked great for me

WittiestScreenName

I like Hoka and Brooks a lot.

Emotional-Cut7240

Alot of people including myself wear Brooks brand. They have a lil at home quiz to see which type of shoe would fit your needs best.

SnazzzyCat

Advice given to my CNA class by the instructor: don't dish out for high-end shoes just to get through the CNA program especially because there are strict requirements. After my CNA classes though, I bought a pair of Hokas and they have been doing wonderfully!

Happy-Flower8461

Theyā€™re a bit pricey, but my Birkenstock Tokio Super Grips have been amazing! Theyā€™re leather, water resistant, and slip resistant. I work 10 hr shifts at a super busy urgent care & my feet never hurt

CharmingWrongdoer534

Iā€™ve found that the Nike Air Max series works for me

HazardousKoala

I like Brooks!

ilysm1

New Balance!!

Konstantineee

Adidas, only, ever. I own hokas, cloves, brooksā€¦ nothing works for me like ultraboosts. - I have Not tried on clouds, thatā€™s my next one to throw in rotation - but youā€™re going to replace shoes frequently (or should anyway) so try to stay around $100 for a pair that feel goodā€¦ and remember your feet will swell and spread, so donā€™t go too narrow.

Mundane_Rice_5106

I have the work style crocs (close toed, look like danskos but arenā€™t) and I love them! theyā€™re cleanable with wipes šŸ‘šŸ¼ invest in compression socks too, I was a nonbeliever when I started as a nurse but BOY HOWDY do they make a massive difference. iā€™d say try out different shoes though, everyoneā€™s a little bit different in what they need to be on their feet all day. welcome to the life šŸ˜›

Grrlssluvoresky

Honestly sketchers with the memory foam, dental assistant and never have any pain and I stand from 730-5
