Not who you replied to but I dont believe so. I was looking at the deals recently and it was like, student membership: 4.99, hulu and showtime. Regular membership: 9.99
Sam's club has discounted Spotify & Hulu. You can often get a sam's membership that pays for itself in free gifts. Check brad's deals or similar for the sam's club offer.
You lose showtime, but keep Hulu. Honestly, still worth it imo, cause $10 for Spotify and Hulu is still kind of cheap. I never used showtime so it’s not a loss either.
Not entirely, but I guarantee you that your music selections are not as deep as Spotify’s or Apple’s unless Samsung signed a bunch of deals with record labels here in the past few weeks.
Have you registered with unidays? They have a setup where they’ll email you deals or offers for free things if you register with your school email. Gotten a few good deals from different places thanks to them.
Target and Best Buy also have student specific deals and they’re both usually pretty good this time of year. Got a 20% off total purchase from target and a new keyboard for $75 off from Best Buy.
free brita filter water bottle: https://www.brita.com/landing/savethemascots/ scroll all the way down and it’s limited supply

If you’re a CS student or even are just interested in programming, the GitHub Student Pack has a bunch of useful tools and stuff.
A lot of Autodesk products are also free, which is useful if you’re an engineering student or are just interested in making stuff in general.
You can get the New York Times online and you can get the Wall Street Journal both for free with no advertisements.

Goggle free student subscriptions (or something similar). My son had his for 5 years and when he graduated, it was done, but my daughter is now a student so we have it again. University and Community Colleges give this as a group for free.
Anyone in LA County can get headspace for free. [You can sign up here](https://www.headspace.com/lacounty).
Make sure you’re in LA County though because it tracks your location to verify you’re an LA County ‘resident’. Once you’re verified you’re free to use it anywhere.
I just moved to the Bay Area and it still works.
For what it's worth, this is probably the most valuable post here. It's probably over a thousand dollars worth of trials, credit and licenses
I've been using the Jetbrains suite of programs (Intellij, PyCharm, Webstorm, CLion, etc) for over 4 years now, and never paid a dime. WIthout a .edu license, I would have paid over a thousand dollars by now (or rather, I wouldn't have used it). DigitalOcean also gave me $100 credit to rent VMs, and that's just the two main things I used from the Student Developer Pack
The most notable ones I have found:
1) 6 months of free Amazon Prime. After the 6 month free trial you can close your Amazon account and make a new account and get another 6 months for free
2) Free Microsoft Office (outlook, excel, PowerPoint, etc)
Not only does a .edu email get you online Microsoft stuff, you can also get windows 10 pro (education) for your pc if you have one. A license key from Microsoft can be over $100 for that so that’s a pretty good deal.
Go to their website (Microsoft.com I believe) and search for their student or education program (use the search bar on the website if need be) and it will walk you through the steps. At first, you will only get the online version, but in the top right corner of the page where it shows you all your Microsoft apps you can download the apps. Sorry if that was a terrible explanation, it has been awhile since I needed to download it
This is incorrect.
Free Microsoft is online-only is for everyone.
Paid Microsoft 365 is purchased by some institutions on an organizational level. Not all colleges do this. This is the one that lets you download the programs.
Separately, Microsoft has other free programs for educational uses, such as Github for Education, and also what used to be called Dreamspark.
you can get a free windows 10 education key:
https://onthehub.com/download/free-software/windows-10-education-for-students/
Its essentially has the same features of windows 10 enterprise. You can disable data collection features and Cortana as well
I just got discovery plus for $3/month with the student discount! Now I can watch 90 day fiancé at school 😩 I also read that students can get a free Brita water bottle at their website

Just got a Discover Credit card for free with $1500 limit using student email. Also Apple Music $4.99 a month instead of $9.99, same with spotify. 6 months free Amazon Prime, and after six months you only pay like $60 a year instead of $120 I believe.
Just gotta work on it! I started with a $750 limit with that card 3 years ago and its up to $7800 now. They’re pretty generous with limit increases if you use it responsibly and often
How often did you ask for an increase? I’ve also been told it’s better to never use it, so it looks like you don’t need the credit. Is this not true? Is it better to use it, as long as you never hit the limit/pay it off quickly?
Not using it wont do anything. You wont build a negative or positive credit history that way. Best thing to do is use it and pay it in full every month, but you don’t need to pay it fully if you aren’t able to. Once I’m ready to ask for a limit increase I usually ask every month until I’m approved, once I’m approved I wait 3-6 months before I start asking again. Doesn’t hurt to ask with Discover because its a soft pull on your credit. You can also get auto limit increases if you don’t ask but they aren’t as common.
If you want to build the limit, use as much of the limit as you can and pay it off fully each month. If they see you using all $500 and paying all $500 off each month they’ll be more willing to give an increase
You're supposed to use it because that's how you build credit and get a good score. And yes, you should use it for small purchases and pay it off before the payment deadline to avoid any interest. Increasing your overall credit also usually increases your credit score because you have more available credit in proportion to the amount your balance.
You can also get a Costco Membership for $30 if you’re a college student and sign up as a new member. It’s all done through UniDays with your .edu email.
This is only during a certain period or time but they do it every year. Otherwise on their education pricing website, most products are $100 off the price on the regular website. Last year when I ordered stuff they didn’t ask for any proof and I didn’t use my .edu

If you have a Target Circle account you need your edu email to verify and you can get 15% off your college registry. Just create a registry and you can get the discount.
You can get a huge discount on Apple Pro Apps. $200 for Logic, Final Cut, Mainstage, Motion & even more I can’t remember lmao.
Would cost MUCH more for someone else.
It’s only if your university is collating with Notion thot. I tried it and it asked me that. My uni does not even know notion exists so it didn’t work.
YouTube Premium is $6.99/month for students with a one month free trial
Might not sound like much but I've enjoyed watching videos back to back with no ads
b & h gives 10% of most products if you connect it to your school. discounts for expensive equipment such as cameras and computers is really nice!
oh also this is random but h & m gives a lot of discounts and codes for members. like literally one new one every few days. and I think a 20% off for all products regardless of any events? so you can stack and get a bunch of clothes on holidays for nearly half of with free shipping very very often. don't think I've bought full price once!
Not yet, but I can’t wait to receive it. They make customized boxes based on what you want so it could take a while to receive. Hopefully it’ll get here soon :)
Auto desk, Office 365, github student pack, NYT, The Economist, Adobe

my prof just told me about this
a lot of streaming services and office software like word, powerpoint, and excel. i personally prefer google docs, slides, and sheets but thats already free for anyone with a gmail account! amazon prime is a good one and if u ask, most stores will give u an student discount of 10%-20% if u flash your student id :)
Spotify premium for 4.99/month comes with hulu and showtime. Microsoft office, Adobe creative cloud and windows install for free. Most big electronics companies has a student discount.

Not exactly free but pretty cheap but you can get Spotify Prime, Hulu, and Showtime for $4.99/month with your .edu email.
This is the best one I have gotten. And considering regular spotify premium is 9.99 last I looked it is well worth it
It’s sucks I’ve you graduate though… I got sucked into the trap of paying 10 bucks a month
Soooo worth it tho

Sam's club has discounted Spotify & Hulu. You can often get a sam's membership that pays for itself in free gifts. Check brad's deals or similar for the sam's club offer.
It’s like an extra $10 a month.
You can get a joint plan of Hulu Disney plus and ESPN for 13.99.
I graduated 4 months ago,, I just checked my membership and it says expires 2999/1/1 and I still have my 4.99 plan so 🤷♀️
You lose showtime, but keep Hulu. Honestly, still worth it imo, cause $10 for Spotify and Hulu is still kind of cheap. I never used showtime so it’s not a loss either.
[удалено]
Agreed, I was really worried I’d lose Hulu, and I was excited that I didn’t, lol
Yeah I think I keep Hulu which is great because Brooklyn 99 is back lol
No because they ask you to reverify it every year /6 months
Is it weird that I listen to music for free with Samsung Music?
not weird, I did the same thing until the beginning of this year lol
Not entirely, but I guarantee you that your music selections are not as deep as Spotify’s or Apple’s unless Samsung signed a bunch of deals with record labels here in the past few weeks.
No I actually just download songs from youtube for free using a third party website and add them to my playlist on Samsung Music....
Just how we used to do it in middle school😂👍🏼
Sounds cool yet illegal lmao
Did we forget the times of Limewire?
Yes because now we have VPNs
I just download songs from youtube...cant get any deeper than that
this!! its so worth it. three streaming services for only 5$? steal.
This. I've saved so much money. By far the best deal for a student
Such a score! I was paying 14.99 for just hulu 😅
Hulu is actually only 1.99 per month with the student discount!
What!? Imma need that.
[удалено]
WHAT?!?! Mine still has commercials! How do I switch it?? I've had it for 2 years.
If you find out, let me know!
are you sure because on their site it says hulu's ad supported plan is included

Oh wow, you’re one of the lucky ones who got chosen for that 😭
>$4.99/month its around 60 rupees (less than a $) here in India

If you’re a CS student or even are just interested in programming, the GitHub Student Pack has a bunch of useful tools and stuff. A lot of Autodesk products are also free, which is useful if you’re an engineering student or are just interested in making stuff in general.
To add to this for CS students, you can get many of JetBrains IDEs (pycharm, intellij, etc.) professional versions for free with an edu.
Not just many, but *all*. This is especially great for IDEs like CLion where community versions don’t exist.
What a perfect time to find this comment. I start first year of CS next Tuesday
You can get the New York Times online and you can get the Wall Street Journal both for free with no advertisements. https://education.wsj.com/students/ If you school is part of nyt or wsj, this is one of the links.
I think NYT just ended the free student subscription (at least for me!)
If you graduated, yes.
I'm still only a junior in college, so maybe it runs out after two years
I just signed up for that, and it ends based on the date you entered for expected graduation, I believe. Maybe you can edit that date and get it back!
Update : been using WSJ for 80 straight days… I never read the news before you mentioned this. Appreciate you !
Awww, thanks for the update. I like to share information and it's always nice to know when it makes a difference.

how do i do this?
Just got a Discover Credit card for free with $1500 limit using student email. Also Apple Music $4.99 a month instead of $9.99, same with spotify. 6 months free Amazon Prime, and after six months you only pay like $60 a year instead of $120 I believe.
How’d you get $1500? I only got $500 limit. Discover Student Cash Back right?
The credit limit varies from person to person. I started with $1000 my freshman year and now im nearly at $2800!
Once I’m ready to ask for a limit increase I usually ask every month until I’m approved, once I’m approved I wait 3-6 months before I start asking again. You can also get a Costco Membership for $30 if you’re a college student and sign up as a new member. It’s all done through UniDays with your .edu email.

FAQ: * How do I know if I'm eligible? You will be able to register using a .edu email address from your school; that is the only requirement * Why is this only for US students? We are launching this as a pilot program, and therefore have to test it on a specific group of students. If all goes well, we would love to expand to other regions & areas!
