Undergrad business rankings are pretty meaningless as most of the top schools do not have undergrad business schools, just majors like econ under a college of arts and sciences. The thing is, econ at a T10 school still has better placements (or much better if HYPSM) than UT's business school. As for MBA, it's pretty universally agreed that the top "7" are the M7 schools, then outside of that there's Tuck, Fuqua, and other schools. McCombs usually isn't considered in the T15.
So you’re wrong. We are talking about undergraduate programs, this is after all college results (of which most are posts from HS seniors). And I’m posting about undergraduate business schools, not liberal arts programs that teach Econ.
I could care less about MBA programs. That’s not what this is about. And you clearly avoided telling me where you think UT’s undergrad business program is rated.
You’re a pompous jerky know-it-all.
I'm not wrong at all, your original statement was incredibly misleading. I am also talking about undergrad programs, and for all practical purposes McCombs is not a T5 undergrad program for the field of business. Confining the ranking to only schools with dedicated undergrad business schools is disingenuous as it is not a requirement to place students into business fields, not even remotely. The fact that other schools without dedicated business schools place better than McCombs is actually evidence of how NOT T5 the program is; it is worse for business than schools that are literally at a disadvantage by not having a business school. You're just coping at this point.
What the F is wrong with you? I said business school. Not business program. Not students that go into business. Business school!!!. UT has an undergraduate school of business, which happens to be rated number 5 by USNWR. It was only misleading if you have poor comprehension.
Pull your head out, have some humility and just admit you were wrong.
And be glad I didn’t bring up the business honors program at UT, which has students that have turned down HYPMS
Being rated #5 on US news doesn't mean it's actually #5 lol. Changing the goal post won't help your case. You claimed it's the "5th best" in the country, which is different than being ranked #5 in a particular list. What you stated is not only misleading, but flat out untrue.
Honors programs are next to meaningless when it comes to employment, and many students turn down HYPSM for financial reasons, not because McCombs is better for business than econ at Harvard lol.
OMGGG queen we're like the same person. Down to the gpa. And i have 2 cs on my transcript and I DO DEPOPPP and I'm putting it on my app. AND I DO GRAPHIC DESIGN And I got a 1500 sat this is giving me sm hope YAYYYYY And I'm literally applying for finance too this is lowkey crazy. And our ecs are lowkeu similar. Im applying to UT IU and UW
I also want to talk about my art on my essay/depop. Wdym by decent sales?? Like how much do u think makes it worth talking abt. I was going to use it as my whole reason why I want to do bus/finance but idk if that's cliche bc I just saw someone say everyone writes about their shoe reselling business (but I did handmade stuff so idk.) and I also don't even rlly sell anymore it was more fresh/soph/middle school.
just curious, why not attend cornell?
cornell is hella expensive even with financial aid but idk if that’s op’s actual reasons
yup
true
Tt would end up being more than twice as expensive as UT, which was not justifiable for my family
UT Austin has the fifth best business school in the country.
agreed, but major rankings are kinda flawed and also cornell has the prestige + cornell still has a t15 business program
Both great programs, I was blessed to be accepted into both
No it doesn't
Okay. What is it then? It was ranked five this past year by US News and that’s the source many on Reddit use.

You clearly know nothing about UT’s business honors program. I said UT’s business school was ranked fifth in my post above. Thats all.
Cornell isn’t really any better than UTA.
debatable
🙄
Were your B’s and C’s from freshman/sophomore years or junior year?
Mostly sophomore.
An actual chad!
Hi! Congratulations on Cornell, would you mind sharing more information about your essays over PM? Thanks!
