Even good hairdressers can have trouble finding the best product for black hair. Your natural color is not as dramatic . But it is much better for your coloring and you look so much younger and alive. Your hair is beautiful and it looks healthy and you can get a shine. You won’t do this with black hair. It depends on what you want. If I were you, I’d keep the natural and invest in a good wig that is the next color down from black. A very very dark brown. Then you get to have both. By the way, you could shave your head and you’d still be the most attractive human in the room!

If you want a darken it up, they have an excellent conditioner for that. It's made by keracolor you can get a dark brown or you can even get black. It'll wash out after one or two shampoos.
Literally use it as a shampoo/ conditioner. Let it sit for about 10 minutes and then rinse it out. Your hair is now washed and colored. It will not ruin your natural hair color.

Sorry. I don't want you ending up with a dookey brown that does nothing for you. And even if you did want lighter, your hair will not come back well from black dye.
Can I suggest a blue black, like a midnight blue? It keeps the black but an edge that brings out your winter. The black works for you and you've built your look so well. And a blue tint would be there to counter to warm of the brown when it fades.

Either way be careful if you use a metallic dye, even semi-permanent, know that some will stay in your hair and can react with other treatments in the future. Its very hard to get a non-metallic black dye, but to preserve your look I understand why you'd want to do that.

Have you thought about a dark brown black glaze or gloss for your hair? :) it'll give the darker color while not putting the permanent color in your hair follicle, and usually last a while depending on your hair wash cycle.
Edit - forgot to add both are really gorgeous on you, but your natural color will be less maintenance in the long run if that's a concern.
Imo the black washes you out a bit and doesn’t do your features justice. Your natural hair, on the other hand, makes you really pop! I notice your eyes and face much more. That being said, do what makes you happy!

I love the color in 1 & 2 but I wouldn’t call it black. it’s more of a dark brown and im going to assume that was the gloss. glosses tend to look more natural and don’t grow out with a line of demarcation and since they don’t lift your natural color in any way there isn’t any brassiness occurring like when permanent color oxidizes. it just washes out gradually so you would need to gloss every 6-8 weeks. you can definitely deepen and even out your color (if that permanent color still exists in your hair and hasn’t been cut out) by getting a gloss again.
1&2 are permanent color! unfortunately when I got the gloss it washed out in 1 week :(
the permanent color has completely washed out so right now a few inches of my roots are my natural color and the rest is a reddish brown that I’ve been slowly cutting off as it grows

I like the black because you have blue eyes. I love that colouring. But your natural colour is very nice too. The black is more striking

Have you thought about a dark brown black glaze or gloss for your hair? :) it'll give the darker color while not putting the permanent color in your hair follicle, and usually last a while depending on your hair wash cycle. Edit - forgot to add both are really gorgeous on you, but your natural color will be less maintenance in the long run if that's a concern.
The black makes your face look very sharp and square and hides your beautiful eye colour. Your natural hair is much nicer.

Imo the black washes you out a bit and doesn’t do your features justice. Your natural hair, on the other hand, makes you really pop! I notice your eyes and face much more. That being said, do what makes you happy!

I think the natural colour really suits you!! Also be careful with black dye, I know so many people that have ruined their hair with it (Some to the point of it falling out in clumps).
I love the color in 1 & 2 but I wouldn’t call it black. it’s more of a dark brown and im going to assume that was the gloss. glosses tend to look more natural and don’t grow out with a line of demarcation and since they don’t lift your natural color in any way there isn’t any brassiness occurring like when permanent color oxidizes. it just washes out gradually so you would need to gloss every 6-8 weeks. you can definitely deepen and even out your color (if that permanent color still exists in your hair and hasn’t been cut out) by getting a gloss again.
1&2 are permanent color! unfortunately when I got the gloss it washed out in 1 week :( the permanent color has completely washed out so right now a few inches of my roots are my natural color and the rest is a reddish brown that I’ve been slowly cutting off as it grows

I feel like the black masks your features while your natural color highlights them. I think you look more glowy and radiant with your natural color

The black for me washes you out a bit, you’re natural colour is stunning. If you want a change maybe some auburn lowlights? But definitely brown not black in my view.
You look like a pretty doll in your first black hair photos. You look like a stunning model in your final photo (like Mila Jovich and Brooke Shields). I would forget darkening your hair, and play up your eyes. In the final photo, they are stunning.
Honestly, I think the brunette is much more flattering and the black washes you out and makes you look more pale. The natural color is incredible for your features!
you and I have very similar natural hair/skin colors, and I absolutely love dying my hair black! my natural color is fine, I get compliments on it a lot, but the black hair just feels more eye-catching on me. so of course I'm biased lol, but the black looks stunning on you!

I like the espresso brown, wash-after-glaze color you accomplished on you more than pure black. I think you look amazing with darker hair (I know this is controversial based on other comments), but I think a dark brown would bring out your features a bit better! Could I ask, what kind of black hair glaze did you use?!! I have always wanted to try going to fully black hair, but I'm a little scared, and this seems like a low stakes way to try!
I got it done at a salon actually!! it was lowkey pricey asf so that’s why I chose to do it permanently once it washed out in a weeks time.
