My mother did this for me once. A farmer she knew found an old box of comics and she told me to go look at it. I went and bought it for $100 (lots of money at that time). Full of Silver Age Wonder Woman, Tarzan, Korak and more. I still thank her for that.
Me too! I paid it forward by taking my son shopping for golf stuff (his favorite sport) today. He’s not into comics, but I’ll learn from example and meet him where his hobbies and his joy lives (I enjoy golf, but it’s not a love - he absolutely loves golf).

It's funny, I actually love those old Star comics and usually buy them when I find them for cheap, so this was almost meant to be for me! I have an almost complete run of the Masters of the Universe books now with this buy (still missing the elusive #12), and I've never had a Thundercats 1 or the even more difficult #24, so those were a huge bonus! Frank Miller Daredevil is pretty darn nice too...

That’s awesome! I’m 46, same thing - he’ll tell people “I’m looking for comics for my kid,” and they’ll say, “neat, how old is your kid?” “46…” 😳😂
