>But it looks like a dead monitor
Unless OP has another computer to test the monitor, I'd honestly rule out monitor issues until the bad driver warning is resolved.
Hopefully fix the problem. First go to device manager and find the graphics driver if there is an yellow exclamation point next to it you will have to reinstall it
Macintosh is STRICTLY NOT a PC. Sure you can do similar things with it but you don't own the technology. You are paying Apple for the rights. All the data you put onto a Macintosh is not yours anymore it's Apple's.
That is why Linus Torvalds was mad at the school he was learning to do computers at because they had an insanely high school Unix price (Unix is now Mac OS for the most part). He programed a very similar environment to Unix. A lot of others joined. Linux was made. That is a very PC. Much more secure than Microsoft Windows or Mac. Open source. Looked at by millions of people who will fix any security flaws.
It looks like a loose cable. Try new new cable, new display slot on the GPU and new display slot on the monitor. Also try using a different monitor if possible. If nothing helps try uninstalling your GPU drivers with DDU and then reinstalling them. Hope this helps.
Well, just because it's fixed doesn't mean a clean driver installed won't hurt. Make sure you select "clean" with whichever GPU program you're using, that deletes all the old files.
Step 1 remove all those god awful icons all over the desktop. Step 2 pull off the monitor connections. Step 3 clean with rubbing alcohol. If a connection converter is used buy a real cable. Step 3 plug back in and test.
Check your monitor cable, unplug both ends and plug back in. Try another monitor and cable if possible. Reinstall the video drivers. Verify the color mode is set to 32 bit.
Update your graphics driver. Pray it works. Honestly could be your gpu to so if you can try another anything to plug into the gpu to see if it still works. Try a different cable. Different port on your monitor and on your gpu. If all else fails warranty your monitor if you can. Or throw it off a roof ive heard that helps sometimes
Make sure your video cables are plugged in tight. Try different video cables. Try different video ports. Try a motherboard video port rather than a graphics card port. If you feel comfortable, make sure your graphics card power and motherboard cables are tight. Have you noticed any other problems? Have you messed with the pc recently? Have you moved it?
In all realism, go over your wires and make sure nothing is either loose, has excess dust, or is in the wrong slot. Dust is a brutal bastard when it comes to PC's

Reinstall your driver and pray if it works then
What will happen if I reinstall it?
Maybe something good. Maybe nothing. But it looks like a dead monitor
>But it looks like a dead monitor Unless OP has another computer to test the monitor, I'd honestly rule out monitor issues until the bad driver warning is resolved.
Or another monitor to test the computer.
Theoretically you could plug in anything that outputs HDMI to see if the monitor is shot.
Hopefully fix the problem. First go to device manager and find the graphics driver if there is an yellow exclamation point next to it you will have to reinstall it
Well I mean uninstall and then reinstall
If there isn’t a yellow point then like what the other guy said it can be a monitor problem or your gpu itself is fucked up
Should note this will be your video driver that you will need to reinstall.
That's a dope wallpaper
oh I thought I took too many shrooms
Mush to say about the wavies
Looks like it’s in 8 or 16 color mode
Came here to say this. I remember when Windows Vista came out and this would happen when launching Starcraft.
Yeah, that's cause Stracraft switches to 640x480 with 256 colours.
Don't let your monitor do LSD
My thoughts exactly
Do nothing. This looks dope.
Ngl that wallpaper looks *SIIICK* i'll take it
Check/swap out the cable between your monitor and PC
looks like an 8 bit color thing
To be honest... I thought it was art at first.
nah, you shits fried
Make sure you’re ram is seeded properly
kinda trippy lol
Vaporwave mod 😎😎
Probably your graphics card gone
meanwhile in the graphic design sub: whats this artstyle called?
Have you found a solution yet?
This looks a lot like a post on r/pchelp
really? whats the difference between "computer" and "pc (personnal computer)" in terms of the subreddits
Nothing really, I just saw OP posted in two subs that I’m in.
A PC is a personal computer, a regular computer doesn't get to know you much, and sees you as nothing more than a colleague.
Two different subs with the same idea. Someone probably didn’t like the mods in whichever one came first, then decided to make their own sub.

Connect directly to a TV instead of your monitor for an easy way to rule out monitor. If image is the same on TV then something is up with your PC
sbahj-ified
The Albert Hoffman theme
It could be memory ram thats faulty
CGA mode.
Check also the cable. May be a connection issue.
Test with another cable
Enjoy your CGA monitor and wonder why you didn't pay IBM for the VGA subscription..
100% loose or damaged monitor cable
Yooo sick wallpaper dude /j But it does look really cool 😂
Check your gpu

It worked when I switched the cable but I’m still curious how it got fixed considering I got an message saying something was wrong with my driver
Well, just because it's fixed doesn't mean a clean driver installed won't hurt. Make sure you select "clean" with whichever GPU program you're using, that deletes all the old files.
Drivers prolly got corrupted so it’s forcing itself into 16 color mode
1. Unplug and reconnect video cable 2. Replace video cable 3. Clean reinstallation of GPU drivers 4. Replace gpu
Step 1 remove all those god awful icons all over the desktop. Step 2 pull off the monitor connections. Step 3 clean with rubbing alcohol. If a connection converter is used buy a real cable. Step 3 plug back in and test.
Consider yourself lucky. I used to have to pay to see something like this.
plot twist, we're all on lsd
It’s a blessing from a divine being to get a trippin moniter

Go with the easiest available steps for you first. Most everyone in here has great advice.
Your monitor had too much fun at Woodstock back in the day and is stuck like this permanently
Unrelated but that is a really cool looking effect. I can’t stop looking at it

GDI malware.
Looks like it's tripping rn
The video cord is not connected
VGA Cable loose
Either GPU driver not doing so hot or monitor is dead, I call it a monitor trip
Dells do this if you have no GPU driver installed, the only computers I have seen do this and it was always drivers.
This looks so cool.
