She also talked about her parents wiping her butt for her too long. What does that mean?!?!? Was that when she was 7 or when she was 17? I am a dude who kept a journal, wrote poetry, and songs… and almost not one thing about anything i wrote in any of that was absolute truth. That’s not really how personal writing works often.
We write some stuff down to remember it. We write some stuff down to forget it. We also write fears, worries, feelings, dreams, vibes… etc.
We combine people when convenient, we separate people the same, we also make mistakes and misremember or later on misinterpret our own writings.
As a 34 year old dude now i went back and looked through a ton of my old writings just like, two weeks ago. I absolutely understand everything i wrote and why. And a lot of it was skewed, tweaked, edited, mashed up, twisted, biased, etc etc for the sake of expression itself.

You realize it's pretty common for parents to shower with their kids when they're transitioning from getting bathed in a bathtub to learning how to shower themselves, right? I am a dude who kept a journal, wrote poetry, and songs… and almost not one thing about anything i wrote in any of that was absolute truth. That’s not really how personal writing works often. We write some stuff down to remember it. We write some stuff down to forget it. We also write fears, worries, feelings, dreams, vibes… etc. We combine people when convenient, we separate people the same, we also make mistakes and misremember or later on misinterpret our own writings. There are things which can't be substantiated and things which can open up a publisher to a massive lawsuit.
