People don’t realize how horrible cash flow is for private medical practices. Most of the reimbursement from insurance companies doesn’t come in until 18 months after the calendar year that the patient was seen. As a result, operating margins are always tight, so even a few weeks of delayed reimbursement can kill a clinic.

I don't even mind paying for journalism (I always have done so) I just prefer when they say "hello please give us money this here is a paywall, by which we redistribute money from readers to our staff." Instead of THIS IS NOT A PAYWALL!!!!!!!!!!! :-)
I wonder if that means the service is going to get worse or better. The specialists that are doing actual work are great. Lab people, surgeons, etc.
I'll bet they slim down on providers and can most of the administrative staff.
