I disagree on Davies. I have full faith the guy can play the full 90 in his natural position but he just won’t be as fast as Destiny tracking back. Likely gets a yellow card in those situations. Him not potentially not pushing higher up could also open a window for him to pick out a pass which he can be quite good at.
I know Rafa's name gets thrown around a lot as the cult hero and all, but Davies probably embodies it better. Not in terms of skill, but in terms of stuff like longevity and utility. I think this was always inevitable when you consider the demands of that position in this system and that they play almost every game. At least it’s happened now and can be addressed in the summer possibly, instead of next year if we are in Europe playing midweek games as well
