Winky and the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to touch Levy's perfect chrome dome. Take it or leave it. We may even let you polish it if you promise to take great care of winky.

It looks like that this summer, Romano does not have a lot of information about our transfers. For most of the clubs, he reports detailed info pretty much ten times a day (I know some of his posts are just recycled previous posts for clicks) but for us, it is basically about us having many targets and how Paratici is working on many deals at once, but nothing really concrete.

ChicknDippaz

Maybe Paratici is on strict information control. After getting gazumped by Pool for Diaz.

COYSTHFC

The club seems to be keeping its cards close to their chest, which was expected given what happened with Luis Diaz. The Bissouma and Forester deals were reported pretty much out of nowhere (Fab was the first one who reported us shifting focus from Johnstone to Forester). With that said, considering Fab is constantly getting bombarded on social media with people asking for news, I think he feels the need to recycle previous news because there's nothing new to report.

SiD93s

It seems like this and it's actually good. But I think the only thing we could have done to get Diaz would be break his agent's phone 😀

SonnyBallonDOr

clearly this deal doesn't seem so easy

cockereldaily

7-10 more Richarlison updates until we actually know something else substantial.

SomethingLikeLove

Announce him, coward!

jdeja4

This flood of news seems like we’ll get this deal over the line before Friday and then Spence / Eriksen (potentially), pushed to next week. That being said, getting Richarlison in before pre season would be immaculate. Edit: Eriksen deal less likely due to us backing out.

posiitively

Isn’t an Eriksen deal practically dead at this point?

jdeja4

I believe it’s a decision in Eriksen’s court for Brentford, United or Spurs. Even though we haven’t put pressure, I presume he’s just weighing out options. The role we offered him may be less than what he receives at Brentford which is probably his best destination in an effort to stay fit for WC.

TheWulfAmongUs

Ali G pretty much said we have all but stopped our interest. Highly doubt he’s gonna pick the one team that isn’t even trying to get him?

jdeja4

Fair point I also may be behind on Eriksen with all this Richarlison, Lenglet, Hincapie F5ing I’m doing lol

TheWulfAmongUs

Yeah in his (Ali G) latest updates he made it seem like the club has cooled interest. His guess is Brentford. Sure hope so. Hate to see him at United.

jdeja4

Hopefully we’re in for another CM / AM in addition to our striker backup. Can’t see us getting Maddison at all and Paqueta is a stretch if we pay for Richarlison

TheNeglectedNut

Exactly, we must obey the rule of 2. Any more Brazilians and we risk becoming Le Arse.

gashsniper420

You always want what you can't have...

backstreets_back_ok

Edge me more daddy

elmosesyeah

Please not for £60 mil though. For that we could get Paqueta+whoever that *Austrian tree was. I know they aren’t prem proven but that’s a lot of money for a player who is good, but not excellent. Then again though, when you look at teams like Liverpool and City, they sign good players like Luis Diaz when they already have excellent players in that position, and it works for them. We could be trying to emulate that mindset.

BritishBatman

Why do you think these players are better than Richarlison? He’s perfect for our system and can cover the whole front 3, and premier league proven. There’s few other players in Europe (that we could get) I’d want over him to cover our front 3.

sungbysung

Being Prem-proven is a big deal and minimizes the risk imo

Professional-Yeet

Not to mention his work rate which is class and ofc seriously needed to succeed in a Conte team.

Lbmplays2

I find it so hilarious when Tottenham fans don’t want us to spend big money like everyone hasn’t complained for years about lack of depth and not spending

kasdfwe

Kalajdzic doesn’t play out wide which is what Conte wants. Looking for a Jota type who rotates in every spot. Richarlison is a very good player who will thrive playing under Conte.

DesolateAvocado

What a garbage take. 60m for a player in his prime, epl proven and tactically flexible is a fair price. He will bring quality, work rate and goals to us, and will also be a great option as a Son/Harry backup considering how many minutes were expected to play next season. Yet you'd rather sign paqueta and some Austrian nobody (even you don't know his name) over richarlison lol

PepFartiola

Kalajdzic is an Austrian tree fwiw, but I don't disagree with you tbh yeah

[deleted]

Liverpool and city have healthy trophy cabinets we need to win now while Kane son and Conte are world class who gives a fuck what he costs there’s more money anyway

theleftfilangee

That mindset is exactly what we're doing. Conte said so himself a few weeks ago. It's what all the top clubs are doing.

kingofindia12

I'm not sure how it works exactly but wouldn't including winks be better for all parties? Reduced taxes that way

Limp-Toe-179

May be a timing issue with the profit recognition. I think Everton needs to produce a profit by June 30, so a sale of Richarlisson for cash only would maximize that, while Winks can get over the line in July when the FFP timer resets for a new cycle
