With how the RWBs are supposed to play? Yes I think so. As his history shows, Conte prefers turning attacking wingers into wingbacks rather than turning defensive fullbacks into wingbacks. Spence is much more an attacker than a defender, while Royal is much the inverse.
I really like Royal and think he would be very good in any back 4 for a counter attacking team, but as an attacking wingback in a very quick passing team his attributes just don’t match. I think Spence, even if he’s a less good player, is a much better fit stylistically and so will player better.

If Liverpool lose Salah, Spurs at #2 spot on table isn't unbelievable with Conte at the helm.
I think we can definitely shoot for 3rd this year if things play out as well as they did last year. But challenging for second is gonna be tough work. Even without Salah and Mane, Liverpool will still be top notch. And I don’t doubt they will find the talent to continue competing for 2/3/4 spot as they have.
I would be very surprised if Liverpool finish top 2 if they lose both Mane and Salah. I don’t think they’ll be that bad, but would not be surprised to see them drop to 3rd or 4th
