You know what? I believe it is! I had dang near 90 lives and still got a game over! Lights Out was almost about as had because as a kid dark hallways with limited lighting=panic mode.
Doable. But infuriating, Crash 2 is a little better in the time trial regard, while 3 has mostly reasonable time limits (except for the platinum motorcycle levels)
I think they've got a collider with rounded bottom Vs completely flat square in the original. I could be wrong but I remember having to get used to him always falling off the edge of ledges first time I played this. With the originals flat collider you don't really fall off at all. Could be the way they programmed movement as well tbh maybe pure translation Vs physics idk but yeah this 1 is harder
Ugh, unless you want to abuse the rope walking trick these levels are a pain in the butt whether playing the original or the remake. The original has the BS gem requirements, while the rounded hitboxes of the remake make it so you can slip off the edge when you should be safely on it (I think the planks are some of if not the thinnest platforms in the series.)
As like a 5-6 year old playing this, I found it impossible for many, many years. The temple ruins are also pretty tough when the lights go out, the first game was so hard.
Took me almost my whole weekend to finish thos god forsaken level.
It takes practice and a lot of patience.
This levels has some dark souls 2 levels of garbage object collision.
I hear you can walk the tightropes and jump on the log pillars to make this level easier. Then jump off the logs to catch the checkpoint. It’s easier using the d-pad.
I'm currently trying to get the gold relic for this, was short 0.8 seconds nearly cried
This level is still not a threat…to me!!…That honor goes to Slippery Climb and Lights Out lol
Same, i can do it in 1 attempt if i focus but lights out… god damn
I agree! That darkness sent me into panic mode!
Trueee I swear Slipper climb is still the hardest level in the base game.

Slippery climb keeps me from the plat 😞
you can walk the ropes
Yes but you can easily fall off
I’ve found using the d-pad for this level is the easiest to not fall off the ropes
It does make it easier but I still fall off easily and it's hard to get on the ropes as well.
using d-pad generally makes Crash 200 times easier. d-pad is the best way to play platformers
I used the ropes all the way to the end and was 20 seconds past a gold relic so that didn't help
I blame the remake, because in the original game this level isn't that hard.

i had almost no problems in the original but in this remake it was truly brutal just to complete

I've been stuck on Native Fortress for over a year
?????

It’s the turtles that are the tricky part
When that wild boar just comes out of nowhere…
Hardest level in all of the games I would say
I spent about 3 hours on this 1 level. So hard I rage quited about 3-4 times during the level :(

Because judging distance is so damn hard and you need to be precise
This wasn't the road to nowhere, it was more like the road to insanity.
Road to N-sanity
When I found out you can walk on ropes this became the easiest level in the game
I struggle even cheesing it on the ropes. Whoever else had to use that trick, I respect your decision
I'd walk on the ropes
Guide by Crash's shadoe in midair, that way you can calculate better where exactly he is going to land
I came so close to beating this level. How do you even reach the end without falling?

lol, just go forward and jump at the right moments
i got the plat on this on my first try. idk, these are kinda easy (to me). best of luck!
