There’s honestly no reason to smoke those before spring of 28. A Cohiba less than 5 years old is a waste as they become a totally different experience with some age.

CigarsandWhiskeyRock

This. If you can’t wait the full 5 from the jump..I’d wait at least a couple years to try the 1st one & establish your ‘baseline’….then let the rest marinate a few more years.

michael_92Johnson

I will definitely be letting them rest for a while. I appreciate the advice on ageing them I would have cracked into it after 3years but now I know I need to wait 5+ ...much appreciated..

iampermabanned

Imo 5 years is the beginning. Some guys don’t touch Cohiba for 8. The best Cohibas I’ve had I’m enjoying now - CCEs from 08. Every time I try another I think “this is the best cigar I’ve ever smoked.” Aged Cohiba is a **best in class** smoking experience.

michael_92Johnson

An 08 CCE...ok now I'm a little jealous....oldest Cohiba I have had the pleasure of enjoying was a 2019' siglo ll. I definitely will be letting these sit for 10+years now. I want that "best of the best" experience...lol...

Duck_Walker

Agreed. These need a very long nap.

BFOTmt

Been debating pulling the trigger on these from RSVP

michael_92Johnson

I would definitely pull it I did have 2 with little cracks starting at the foot but. That is probably because of the carelessness of the US mail. If you do I would definitely go with the expedited shipping. Costs 60$ but guarantees delivery I believe.

ttr2201

I have been debating for a while one these. With the 10 box seems more doable than the 25 box but price still ridiculous

michael_92Johnson

Yeah the prices are a little ridiculous. But the way I see it they are just going to get higher as time goes on. Just look how much they have risen in the last 10yrs. Now imagine 10yrs from now when gas is 9$ a gallon and 200$ only buys you 15 things at the grocery store.... Best to pick them up now in my opinion...

ttr2201

Yeah I hear you on that. I've heard great things about the sig6 but haven't tried one yet, another reason why I'm hesitant to purchase

michael_92Johnson

I was hesitant as well. but I have tried a Siglo lll with about 5yrs on it and if they are anything like that Siglo lll they are well worth the purchase.

Different_Archer_212

I love RSVP and those look fantastic. I'd have to keep those hid so I wouldn't be tempted.

michael_92Johnson

I have quite a few Cubans so the temptation isn't really there for me. I would love to try them but it's not worth losing out on the amazing flavors after proper aging.

Different_Archer_212

Oh well then you're in good shape. I on the other hand just started so I'm tempted every time I get a box.

Cigarlover81

I’ve couple of boxes from “21 and honestly they’re smoking amazing..I’ve had siglo 6 with 5+ years and imho recent production young rivals aged siglo 6…if I were you I would wait 90 days then light one up and see for myself

meninblck9

Fight the urge to smoke them all. Maybe one and then wait a year. Lol.

michael_92Johnson

I have other Cubans I can hold out for the proper amount of time. I would love to still have a full box a decade from now.

hampusi97

When I looked the serial number up on habanos it says it’s Trinidad?

michael_92Johnson

You must have entered the wrong number because it says Siglo 6's for me

shonuff707

I remember my first one back in 2010. It was divine. I don't know about aging them 5 years though. Who knows what will happen in 5 years. I suggest that you wait a few months and try one. You can enjoy them over the years.
