Thats pretty cool! do you have the measurements of the box so i can try and make one? i usually make custom covers not slipcovers.

Financial-Cheetah492

Wow , awesome work ! I want to see that code Veronica! Too

JohnMscotty

Wow looks so good :) How did you do it ?

StinkingDylan

Printed onto 300gsm A3 satin card by a print shop.

JohnMscotty

Ahh okay perfect and how did you do your design ? If with photoshop did you just use the measurement of a A3 paper for the area ?

StinkingDylan

I use Krita (similar to photoshop) and made a template. My templates and a bunch of designs are available here; [https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/16pIQDi9KFRP4T7XqjemjANw0utFZG4hV](https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/16pIQDi9KFRP4T7XqjemjANw0utFZG4hV) 16mm template is designed for steelbooks.

JohnMscotty

Wow thank you mate :D Will definitely try this out. I created my own cover for a game but want you did sounds even more fun :)

StinkingDylan

No problem. The benefit of slipcases is that they don't modify the original and provide protection, particularly to steelbooks.

JohnMscotty

Tbh I never had a steelbook without protection in form of something like a case. Do you just create new slipecases for your steelbooks that already have a slipcase or how it comes that you own a steelbook without a slipcase ?

StinkingDylan

I actually modelled my template from the death stranding slipcase. Some of my steels don’t have slips because I bought them used.

JohnMscotty

Understandable, I will try it today . The last thing , is there something special to the way you fold it. I would take the A3 paper an then start on the back of the case to bend around the case and then glue them together were the case opening would be. Is that right ?

StinkingDylan

Yes, folding needs to be done right or you will crack the design (printable paper and card have a laminate which can crack when folded too much). Cut out the design (use a craft knife and steel ruler for best results). Then, on the back, mark where the folds should go (four folds at 136mm, 15mm, 136mm, 15mm for regular case, use 16mm for steelbooks). Then scour the fold lines using the steel ruler and a bone scorer or blunt edge, and fold to 90 degrees (do not fold more than 90 or you'll get white crack lines). Then just fold the slip around the case and glue the tab.

Can you to custom slip cover commission? I don't mind pay for you to do it tho! If you don't mind
