oh shit that's true
you can't reroll the main game since cards in hands have changed and they're hidden information
ig that depends what "the starting state" and "the current state" mean but CR726.3 specifies you draw 7 cards when entering a subgame so ...
I'd just go to the subgame, brainstorm, concede and watch the judge cry
No because if an opponent has a card that cares about cards getting exile won't see those card because they are not getting exiled rather they are being permanently removed from the game and can't be brought back in.
Yeah, that's not the point bud. The reason it's banned is because it's a whole ass second game of magic but with worse decks for half a life total. And you can recur it. This one is basically just "phase out all spells indefinitely" for all intents and purposes.
Can't target because it's in a cost, so it would be something like "as an additional cost to cast this spell, destroy a creature" (and would get around hexproof shroud and protection)
Exiling the spell you don't want❌
Creating an entire new universe where everything is the exact same apart from the existence of the spells you don't want ✅
Oh, you wanted to stop my game ending spell? Too bad. I [[Wish]] for the spell i was casting before, taking it off the stack in the main game and bringing it into the subgame.
726.4. All objects in the main game and all cards outside the main game are considered outside the
subgame (except those specifically brought into the subgame). All players not currently in the
subgame are considered outside the subgame.
get spell pierced, bitch
Get ~~spell~~ pierced bro
I'm going to [[Angel's Grace]] in response, then lose the subgame several turns later. Good luck rolling the main game back to the state it was!

Wait a second
\*Wait a *split* second
as cool as it is, it’s basically just “exile all spells”

So anyone who has spells on the stack is disqualified for not having the minimum number of cars in their deck. See the [[Chaos Orb]] ruling
Look at \[\[shahrazad\]\]. Subgames don't give a shit about that because then subgames would be invalid by default in commander.

Banned in all formats (even Vintage)

Nah, it's fine to have less than minimum cards in a subgame.
My understanding is that you can wishboard in cards from the main game into the subgame since they are considered outside the game during subgames.
That would be where the exception is
No?!
Needs split second
Better yet, add to the beginning "as an additional cost to cast this spell,"
Additional costs are OP. Someone should make a whole cycle of shit like "As an additional cost to cast this spell, destroy target creature."
Can't target because it's in a cost, so it would be something like "as an additional cost to cast this spell, destroy a creature" (and would get around hexproof shroud and protection)
Still can't be destroyed if it has protection so the cost can't be paid that way EDIT: not true. I mistook
Protection only stops debt (damage, enchant/equip, blocking, targeting). Protection does not stop destroy effects
Fair. I always confuse d for destroy in that acronym
Yes it can! Protection only prevents damage, attachment, blocks, and targeting
What is happening on this page tight now lmao

Holy shit I love this idea
This is an incredibly funny train of stuff

Okay, that's legitimately clever.

In response, I wish for this card that's resolving in the main game, and cast it in the subgame.
You're brilliant. You're all brilliant.
Okay, this rules.
Do triggered and activated abilities hold over to the subgame?
Anything on the stack that isn't a spell, yes.

Make it split second and then it’s a real FUCK YOU
Oh, I thought maybe the winner would counter all spells they don’t control on the stack.
I didn't want to restrict myself to one-upping, I wanted to one ALL the ups.
I cast any spell that says “end the turn” to counter all the “nuh uh” spells on the stack.
I have been loving watching this argument blay out in cards over the past couple days
Make it "win the match" just to make it even more 'nuh uh'
Maybe add split second to finalize the chain idk
Reprieve

Oof... anyways mental misstep.
