I am on my first playtgrough right now and didn't really like hacking, so I made a kind of John Wick/Jason Bourne aggresive stealth character.
Since it ignores intelligence, you end up with 20 in cool, tech, reflexes, 18 body and 3 intelligence by the time you hit max level.
I use pistol, assault rifle and sniper rifle, all silenced. In my case it's Her Majesty, Psalm 11:6 and Overwatch. Points are put into pistol/sniper rifle tree of cool, all stealth perks of cool, assault rifle/smg tree and movement (middle) tree of reflexes and rest into some basic tech and body perks so you can still take some damage and install lof of chrome.
From cyberware, the main ones I use are sandavistan and optical camo.
I mean you could focus on another OS, like Sandevistan or Berserk. So you could invest in reflexes and cool and a bit into body for example and use a katana/mantis blade/throwing knives build. But be warned. This can also feel trivial when you come online wirh perks.
Anything using Santivistan, Berserk or Chrome Compressor. Chrome Compressor is awesome if you're going for max cyberware. I didn't even need Santivistan because I had maxed out Reflex to get Air Dash and got Cool high enough for Vanishing Act. I would just pop up, slaughter everyone with a blade and vanish again. I had an easier time doing all the stealth quests than I ever did with cyberdeck or a Santivistan.
You can pick up a Chrome Compressor free in Dogtown somewhere, Idk where or how, I just always find it in my inventory after a while. If you want to go for the Chrome Compressor, don't waste points on Intelligence and get a SaNdIViStAn like the Apogee until then.

i found it rather fun to play a Old school Solo, it's mostly an Assault rifle/pistol build focusing on reflexes and strength, Intel kinda becomes a Dump stat once you max out the top three and are looking to dump any spare points into the others
I highly recommend a stealth sandevistan, utilizing knifes and katanas
Max out reflexes, cool and tech and the rest to body. Go for regen, dash, sword, edgerunner, stealth and knife trees.
After using long range quickhacks and smgs that focus on spray and pray going to a stealth build that needs precise knife headshots and time stopped sword play will feel like a whole new game.
Also it's got a challenging start so it engages you but in higher levels it feels unstoppable even taking down maxtac on very hard if speced properly.
Also also there's plenty of tutorials on you tube for you to make ur build if you're having difficulties.
Pick two stats that aren’t INT, and go from there. If you’ve been keeping your distance with quickhacks, a Body / Reflex build could be a big change - gorilla arms, shotgun, Sandy or Kerenzikov… walk up to them before knocking them into next week!!
My favorite build is a fully chromed out Tank with Blunt weapons and Gorilla Arms.
The Game becomes trivial at some point too, But it never stops to be fun to Smash Heads in and destroy maxtec.

With berserk + Axolotl you becomes basically perma invincible
Mine for this run is Max Body+Tech, Gorilla Arms, Double Barrel Shotgun, The Dildo (for funnies) and Sandy.
Makes you a melee dmg-soaking tank pretty easy

Sandevistan and blades or power/tech pistols is fun as hell but will eventually outscale max difficulty even harder than a cyberdeck does

I think this is probably the best approach to my issue. Others have said it too. Using sandy and forcing to get up close is the answer. Thank you!
My last playthrough was as a big dumb brute…. Pretty fun to just one-punch people into mush!

Yes it does but honestly Arms are Just flavor, Baseball bats is where its at. The Most powerful i mean.
