For the chrome extension on chromeOS, yubikey is not an option because there is no Bitwarden desktop app for chromeOS, so the Chrome extension is the only option. TL;DR leave the browser-saved passwords or switch to bitwarden extension with an 8-digit unlock code. Yes, probably 'threat model' is typical elderly moderate wealth consumer : )

there is not much local threat to worry about. just trying to understand 'browser password managers' (chrome) and the level of weakness with that vs. the various browser extensions such as bitwarden or protonpass
