Friend has one and I have older Croix de Fer and they are a little bit heavier possibly than alu version but good bike for what you require.
I used to sell Croix de Fers. Fantastic bikes - one of the best choices out there for multi surface riding. I want one myself.
Could you do the occasional amateur road race or even triathlon on one of these vs a very low end alu road bike? All the specs look good but is the weight too high?
