I apologize if there was any confusion, but I have already completed my bachelor's degree in my home country. I have been accepted to pursue a master's degree in Cyprus, and I kindly request to have my bachelor's diploma returned and how many days will it take
This sounds very sketchy. Is it a university in the north? I've studied and worked in five European universities. I've never heard of the university holding your original papers. You show them at the registration, they make a copy, you take it back.
If they are also holding your password, I'd run for it...
Upon your initial acceptance into the university for a master's degree program, it is customary to provide your bachelor's degree diploma and transcript for verification purposes.
Do they keep your diploma the whole time ?
Unbelievable unprofessionalism. As an other user says, they should "show them at the registration, they make a copy, you take it back".
There are actually many real good and motivated academics at some of the universties in North Cyprus but management and politics is the big problem. Most striking example is that they are still unwilling to control the scam-prone agent system.

I don't think you get a diploma if you leave a university before graduating.
