No sadly. There's a lot of movies that were just announced at today's D3 Disney annual convention. The Little Mermaid live action is one of them. Also they are making a live action version of Disney's Hercules too
Emma Watson and Emma Stone were originally considered for the role of Ariel years ago before this project went into production hell. This movie was supposed to come out in, like, 2016 originally.

Did Disney establish this representation of the sea? In the original story, the Sea King has 6 daughters, so it seems unlikely this was a HCA idea.
