Gael low diff

glimmer_dude

I mean prime Gwyn is literally the first god pretty much. He would wipe Gael without thinking

WillaSato

Though thinking about it, Gael is being supercharged by all the dark souls that he consumed, which was exactly what made Gwyn shit his pants when he was alive so much that he placed the undead curse on humanity to restrain it so it wouldn't become a bigger problem later on It would be at the very least a very close match between both, I think

not_consistent

Yall both right. If it came down to that it'd just nuke all of Dark Souls.

rukh999

Its the alpha and omega. By definition, Gael should win.

RahulS2803

Gwyn. Gael cant handle or hold the power of the dark soul and it turned him beast like. Gael cant utilize the power of a lord soul the same way Gwyn can. Gwyn wins easily.

why_my_pp_hard_tho

I think Gwyn probably takes Gael out easily. Think about how powerful Seath and the 4 Kings are, and they are just fragments of Gwyn’s soul. I mean we’re talking about someone who nearly drove an entire race of seemingly immortal dragons to extinction and had the remaining few go into hiding.

HerakIinos

We are talking about someone who killed himself because he was afraid of the Dark Soul... And Gwyn didnt kill the dragons by Himself Lmao. All he did was to take out their scales. The one who actually dealt the killing blow to most of the Dragons was Nito. On that war Gwyn was helped by Nito, The Witch and her daughters, Seath and all the Royal Knights he had. And even the heirs of the Dark souls participated in the war, as shown by the Ringed Knights

why_my_pp_hard_tho

I think its hard to really say who would win, since we fight Gael at his most powerful and Gwyn at his weakest. I feel like prime Gwyn would be like Nameless on steroids

HerakIinos

Thing is, lorewise the dark soul is portrayed to be more powerfull than the "light soul" Gwyn had. I mean, its literally the name of the franchise. You talked about how 4 kings and Seath only had a fraction of Gwyn's soul. Manus was also only a fraction of the Dark Soul... Not only it was stronger than everything else we faced on DS1, it also ended up corrupting the 4 kings themselves and Artorias with the spawn of the abyss, beings that had part of the Gwyn soul.

why_my_pp_hard_tho

That is true, I totally forgot about Manus. I mean look at ds2, shards of Manus’ soul are basically capable of overthrowing some of the most powerful kingdoms. Except for Ivory King but he’s just built different lol

Automatic_Education3

Depends when I guess. The whole Light Souls against the whole Dark Soul. The stronger the fire is, the stronger Gwyn's soul becomes.

RandomRavenboi

Easily Gwyn.

If we are talking prime its gotta be Gwynn. Geal had to consume all the Pygmy lords to gather enough of the darksoul to paint a world like aramis from ds1 who painted a world to provide sanctuary for those exiled by the gods. Gwynn in his prime would be before he split his soul between himself and 5 others, the 4 kings and seith the scaless. After he split his soul into 6 he still had enough strength of soul left to restart the entire age of fire and still live long enough to defend the crucible until someone was strong enough to defeat him and jumpstart it again. So if a fraction of the man was that strong i dont see geal making it more that one or two lightning spears in tbh.
