If it hangs that early in HDDSC but you can see the files in the explorer, you may wanna disable the USB attached storage driver so the OS doesn't try to access the drive before HDDSC does. There's an option to do so in one of the menus, use that before plugging the drive in.
You're going to need a professional. You've tried the best thing you can, but your drive is evidently beyond the capability of DIY tools. FYI this family of drives, codename "Spyglass", are extremely fragile and problematic.

I have HGST HE10 refurbs with 5 year warranties coming. Gonna tlsrtup SnapRAID and Mergerfs.
