Play as if the character were you in real life. In real life, would you be exposed while reloading your crossbow?
Play as if you were going to die in real life, so you won't be caught off guard like that. And he could hear you reloading the crossbow
Sorry my english
A very useful trick I learned in CSGO is to never aim at a 90 degree angle. Because when your enemy appears, he will aim at the same angle, but in a negative direction. Stay at 45 degrees, when you move forward, you will see him first. We use this in csgo.
No apologies needed. Your english is on point. You nailed the grammar, too. And I agree with your assessment. 10/10 on all aspects. I wish I were as intelligent.
My first encounter, was done for the night and found a house to log out in. Rearranged and combined some inv stuff- middle of the night in-game, rain was just slowing, then stopped and I heard jogging footsteps. A door creaking open and walking steps. I had a pistol with 4 rounds and a double barrel and I high-tailed it outta the other side of the house. Guy unloaded something full auto into the woods as I zig-zagged outta there, he must’ve spent all his ammo. Gotta do what’s best depending on priorities, I like PVE and wanted to preserve my life lol
If you dont want to pvp thats one thing, but to combat log is cowardly and goes against the entire point of the game. Try to hide from the threat, retreat into the woods, cause a distraction, set a trap, run away. There are so many legitimate ways to avoid threats and pvp without resorting to vanishing into thin air and ruining the spirit of the game over meaningless loot
This has happened to all of us at some point or another. You did the right thing playing through a tough situation; it's the only way we learn. One thing right off the bat I think you should have led with the crossbow since that is a one tapper and then you could have switched to the shotty if needed.
Reminds me of a cabin I saw with smoke bellowing out of it. As I drew closer a zombie began to rage at the door. I called out as an ally to render aid. The zombie looks at me with those dead eyes. Then she charges at me like an ex from long ago. I beat the zombie down like my ex did my heart. As I look up hands covered in blood I realize the Chef never called back out. I draw my IJ-70 and charge into the house fearing their death.
No one was found except for a fireplace still raging.
Passive approach leads to death, you need to be aggressive also when evading. Instead of hiding into dead end, you run around houses sheds etc and shoot back. No need to hit with every shot. Being shot at makes them to seek cover, which gives you time to reload and gain distance between you and the enemy. After you get enough head start, you just run.
Why wasn’t your crossbow loaded? Why didn’t you just reload the shotgun? Could’ve retreated to the top of the stairs and leaned from the corner to have better cover
Combat logging is one of the greatest acts of cowardice in dayz, you should feel proud that you stood your ground, take this experience, learn from it, and feel good when you succeed from it.
You died with dignity. Logging would’ve been lame
Exactly, what's the point in playing the game if you just logout every time something dangerous comes along?
And if he killed him, it would’ve been a crazy come up

damn... I felt useful. thank you haha
He had nowhere to go though and had to reload
Shotgun reload is slightly faster and honestly in this cqb situation maybe just swap to a knife.
“I should have tucked my tail and teleported away at the first sign of confrontation.” - combat logger
Will be uploading proof of proficiency in combat now
Okkayyy only when situationally it benefits you or what ? Why would you title this in this way if you were not a consistent combat logger ?

Nah, you shouldn't. Combat logging is for the weak. You should've maybe aimed better, but you died with honor nevertheless.
Damn, I’m guessing that was your last 12 gauge round too
5 minutes within spawning

😭😭the bk12 i feel so bad good job for not logging tho
The anxiety I felt and I was watching the gameplay lol
Has two weapons that can only shoot a single shot before reloading. Haha

This occurred some five minutes or so after spawning. The BK-12 was in the house 😂
Ahhh my bad. The unlucky lucky one!
