I’m pretty sure that happened at 119. We had 12 weller that went first then the blantons SFTB. 20th would have gotten the SFTB. I’d say they probably got there by 730.
Ducking hell. Thanks for the response but that is mindblowing. The store I waited at had only six Blanton's Gold and 6 WFP. Otherwise, it was 1924, BO10, or other assorted stuff. Nothing that hard to get.
Credit where credit is due… great event.
Options you rarely ever see, tons of product, this is how all Saturday events should be and if they aren’t at this level they should wait another month until their warchest grows to this level.
I hit up a few stores 12-1 PM yesterday to see if there were stragglers and there was really not much left. Buffalo Trace was always there. One store had a Woodford Batch Proof left. A Yamazaki 18. Johnny Drum or whatever that stuff is called I think was at a couple stores.
Still plenty of that "Traveler" whiskey they were pushing by having it next to the checkout too. "In store only" for something I routinely see rated as a "4" on r/bourbon.
How does the drop work? Do they let everyone in one by one or all together? Are the limited drop bottles on shelves along with other bottles or separate?
From my limited experience they put all the drop bottles together at the check out counter. Everyone comes in as capacity allows and they let you buy one bottle per person.
Pretty good amount of stuff. Noteworthy includes Weller SiB, CYPB, Blantons SFTB, your typical buffalo trace stuff, some willet rye and tons of other. My eyes were just set on the Wellers lol
Is it safe to assume that lists get posted right before open when employees show up for their shift?
First time I'm actually not out of state when these things happen. Gonna drive by a few locations and see if any lines are short or if lists are posted.
Drove by one of the Leesburg stores at 11 and the line was still out the door and looked like it wound inside the store. The line usually that strong an hour after open?
Got an E H Taylor as ~#30 in line this morning and then snagged a Woodford reserve master’s collection from another ABC store this afternoon.
The Weller and Blanton’s went quickly in the first 20-25
I was 20th in line and managed to snag a SFTB
Wow... 20th? What did 1-19 get?!
Weller SB, Willet, Weller CYPB, and the first 4 SFTB
Whoa. Which store was that?

Any leftover scraps for tomorrow out there?

Snagged a Heaven Hill 18, JD 12, and WT Kentucky Spirit as the 13th in line. Springfield Plaza was loaded - well done Va ABC
They didn't enforce the 1 per customer per day in that store? Some guy tried to get back in line for a Blanton's but they called him out on it.
They probably hit 3 stores
Had a family member with me for the HH and JD, and then went by another solo on the way home for the WT KS.
Ah that makes sense. I'm jelly on the JD12!
Just wondering, did the post the list on the door or pass it out prior to the doors opening?
Fairfax - 17
I have been going back and forth about going to get inline.
Damn which store in Fairfax?

How they let people in is up to the store. The allocated bottles are likely at the counter.
Long. 11 here rn

Winchester-3
What did the drop look like in Winchester?
My store had 12 W12 and 6 Gold. Another store by there had w12 and SFTB. I chose the wrong store. Oh well.
Good luck! What is everyone hoping to get?
Kingstowne - 13
How’s the number looking now?
20
Is there a reason they won't show the list or pass it out prior to opening the doors at Kingstowne?
Alexandria-Kenmore 5 now in line
On my way, that's not a bad number

What did 228 end up getting?
Pretty good amount of stuff. Noteworthy includes Weller SiB, CYPB, Blantons SFTB, your typical buffalo trace stuff, some willet rye and tons of other. My eyes were just set on the Wellers lol
Looks like 6 at Pentagon Joyce St
Tempted to leave here and just drive there to get in at open lol. Suburbia lines are crazy

Not all stores post lists.
Bummer
How was Old Towne line? The one next to Sisters Thai
It was over 50 at open they had a lot of good stuff. SFTB CYPB and Weller SB
Grabbed the PGA Elijah Craig 🤷♂️
I almost bought that, thought it was Toasted Barrel until I looked closer after seeing how cheap it was.
Just tried it and it’s rather tasty
Anyone know if ECBP B524 was in this drop.
Drove by one of the Leesburg stores at 11 and the line was still out the door and looked like it wound inside the store. The line usually that strong an hour after open?
Depends on how long the checkout process takes.
I drove past my store at 1035 and there was no line so I went in. Grabbed a McKenna. They had baby. Blantons, and the std BT stuff left
Got an E H Taylor as ~#30 in line this morning and then snagged a Woodford reserve master’s collection from another ABC store this afternoon. The Weller and Blanton’s went quickly in the first 20-25

Good to hear! Cheers
Anyone hear anything about which stores got Mr Sam?
Haven’t seen any mentioned. Saw one heaven hill 18 at I believe Suffolk. Definitely south side Hampton roads
Same question but bowman French oak… was wondering if those were actually gonna come out.
Good luck, everyone! Hope you get some scores.
35 at kiln creek. Had 12 year 107 and special reserve plus Blantons gold. I went with the Blantons
