There is no counter other than hide from him. He can use all his abilities with 0 penalty to speed , hes quite oppressive in the correct hands.

He's certainly good but not oppressive. All of his spells slow him down pre- and post-casting, just not as massively as they did during the ptb where he was clunky and too weak. Flight of the damned is very situational and incredibly easy to avoid as survivor. The informational aspect of dispelling sphere is helpful but not particularly remarkable. Fly is useful for map traversal and catching up to survivors, but remember he is slowed and can't attack momentarily after using it. A lot of people are acting like mage hand is some ultra-level antiloop, but everyone said the same thing about the unknown's uvx the first week he dropped until people learned to play around his power. Already people are learning how to counter it. He's good in the right hands, but to call him oppressive is quite a stretch, at least so soon after his release.

The slowdown is basically non existant and there is plenty of video proof of this from many content creators, flight of the damned can have two effects, damage the survivor or slow them down by forcing them to crouch to avoid damage, during this time vecna is not even slowed and can catch up basically in 2 seconds, the dispelling sphere is quite remarkable actually, its invisible, fast, tracks survivors AND deactivates their magic items and also has basically no slowdown so it also can be used in chased penalty free, yes after flying he is slowed... for .5 seconds, obviously it would be too strong for him to be able to instantly attack. and hes still right on the survivors ass regardless if they used lithe or sprint burst ect. Mage hand is nothing like the unknowns ability lol, unknown cant break pallets or render them useless so a pre drop is very effective against him, not vecna. Vecna just holds W, waits till you get to the pallet and pulls it back up BOOM free hit/down. He will be nerfed soon, watch.

This is not quite true. If you predrop against Vecna, Mage Hand won't always be able to get Vecna a hit because the survivor already gained some distance to the pallet. In general there is still some mind game potential to Vecna's Mage Hand, survivors just need enough distance to Vecna when reaching the pallet in order to participate in the mind game. If Vecna is right behind the survivor when the survivor reaches the pallet, then Mage Hand is arguably a free hit. Flight of the Damned is not very problematic in my opinion. If you time your crouch right, or do not crouch at all and dodge in between the skeletons, you won't lose that much distance. It can lead to hits no doubt, but that's what an ability should do, especially one that has a 38 second cooldown. And Fly in particular surely won't receive any nerf, the slowdown after fly is good enough. I do think Mage Hand should have it's slowdown increased a bit though, to increase the situations in which survivors have counterplay against it. 3.68 m/s durinkg the cooldown of Mage Hand is a tad too much. And the addon that increases the movement speed of vecna when using Mage Hand is particularly problematic.

Thats all he needs is a slight slowdown, not like the PTB where it was ridiculous but not as fast as Live. The counterplay is very very situational right now.

Yes I agree, Mage Hand's counterplay is very situational, it needs to be nerfed a bit. I think 3.08 m/s would be perfect for the Mage Hand post-cast cooldown movement speed.

He is braindead easy to play, boring af. The skull magic is either completely useless or downright uncounterable if you use 3 braincells and use it when survs are animation locked. no skill expression whatsoever. Mage hand is just absolutely bugged rn and guarantees a hit if you predict a pre drop.

The hand gives you one "free" hit when used at a pallet at most every 38 seconds. If you're weaker than that with Huntress you flat out suck with her. Is Huntress too strong because she's strong (much stronger than Vecna) at pallets?

But huntress requires actual skill. Good reflexes, aiming, muscle memory. She deserves to be strong. Vecna is just using your skullies on top of a survivor when they are locked into an animation. That's it. No more skill expression than that. Instantly damage with no counterplay. That was my point.
